Answer:
Yes, no grouting is needed since the spaces in between or so tiny. Plus, you would be using a toothbrush and tooth pick to remove all of the grout that your sponge could not get.

Our install was done as a bathroom backsplash. We used the tile adhesive to attach it to the wall and NO grouting was needed!!! Very tight connections between tile. Looks great, we loved it. Relatively easy to install and super sleek look. See photos.

Yes, we used it to surround our gas fireplace. We are in our second winter and no problem with using the fireplace. It looks great. Some of the tile above the fireplace gets warm/hot to the touch - but no negative impact.

I am thinking of placing the HARVEST MOON INTERLOCKING 8 IN. X 18 IN. X 8 MM GLASS STONE MESH-MOUNTED WALL TILE on a shower wall behind the faucet. Is this too wet an area and not advisable?
Also, can this tile be cut (by a professional installer) to install the shower head?
What is the maintenance of this tile in the years ahead?

Since you cannot grout this one very easily (due to the groves and ups/down), I would not recommend it in a wet area. I did not grout because it would have been a nightmare in removing the extra grout (using toothpicks and toothbrushes).

Yes, it could be cut using a wet saw and tile cutters. The glass could chip using the cutters some, but you may be lucky enough to have a stone portion where the shower head goes. Again, I wouldn't put this in the shower. You really need a flat type of tile to do that.
Maintenance - just need to seal it every 2 or 3 years. Read Less

How long to wait before putting second coat of sealer on

Since this is a porous material I have bought a sealer for this stone. It suggested two coats for porous materials. It does not state how long to wait until you can apply a second coat. Directions only state to allow 24-72 hrs to completely cure. Does anyone know if that is the length of time to wait for second coat to be applied?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great and easy to install Tile is easy to work with, install and it looks great! January 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Installed these over a day and half period - overall it went well. The product was pretty good to work with overall. I had issues with a few of the tiles where the stone looked as though it had some type of stain on them, so I used those as scrap pieces. It went up well on the wall for the most part but later found out that this product really cannot be grouted due to all of the grooves. The product is not flat across, so if you would have grouted it, you would be taking a toothbrush and toothpick to get all of the extra grout that the sponge could not get. Luckily, the spaces in between the stone and glasses pieces were so tiny, grouting was not necessary. December 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Upgrade I used this product to reface my fireplace, during a recent upgrade to my living room. I also used Thompsonville cabinets and all paint and trim accents came from Home Depot. The staff was very friendly and helpful with proper installation tips and procedures. My wife and I are very happy with the end result. I will not hesitate to use Home Depots material and services again. August 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great finishing touch to my kitchen remodel! Love the product. Everyone who sees it compliments the look. September 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by textured accent tile With a nearly matching grout, this accent tile has really dressed up our bathroom. At the recommendation of the sales folks at Home Depot we decided not to risk installing it in our shower despite the tiler saying that he could do it with a sandless grout and a water resistant backer board. There was considerable color variation in the slabs of tile purchased from different stores. June 25, 2015
