Per floorelf dot com, the way you calculate your minimum grout line is: To figure out how small you can go, place nine tiles in a 3 X 3 foot square butted against each other. Measure corner to corner diagonally both ways and see how close they are. If they are within 1/16 inch that is the size grout line you can use safely. Measure corner to corner diagonally both ways and see how close they are. If they are within 1/16 inch that is the size grout line you can use safely. From experience with my cases of Metro Glacier was 2/16 ie. 1/8. MSI should have answered my question, it depends. We make restricted tiles cut precisely for 1/16 grout lines however non-restricted cut tiles like the Metro Glacier series have a slight variance in size. Do you want a headache swapping out tiles to both fit correctly 1/16 grout line and match color tone? Or would you rather use 1/8 and only worry about your color match? How much patience do you have to make additional tile cuts in case your lines divert? With 1/8 grout lines you will accommodate for the variation and likely need to make fewer cuts compared to going with a 1/16 grout line. Also if you make a good match with grout and tile, the lines will not seem as large when viewing. Read Less

I have read it stains easily. We plan on putting it in our shower and thought a sealer of sorts might make cleaning easier.

I have used in many showers and have yet to have an issue with staining. Not sure where you read that it does stain easily. That has not been our experience. As for sealers, stay away from tile sealers. They make the surface tacky and over time, builds up a terrible residue.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 207 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to Work With AND Easy to Clean No problem installing and cutting - and I love the larger size. Easiest tile install I've ever done. I have read a lot of reviews claiming that this tile isn't easy to clean. So, I waited several months before reviewing. I installed the lightest version of this in our most frequently visited bathroom. It has been used and abused! I have had ZERO problem cleaning it. It looks as good as it did when I installed it a little under 6 months ago. I even painted the bathroom afterwards - no problem cleaning up splatters. I can only surmise that a difference in lots might account for this??? Whatever the case, I am thrilled with this tile! August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE IT! I just had a new shower put in and used this tile for the walls. I absolutely love it! Gorgeous! April 8, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't clean! I wanted tile throughout my house for easy cleaning. This tile doesn't come clean. I've tried every product on it. As I can see from other reviews, other people are having the same problem. It looks great in the store but after only 3 months of use, there are black areas. I've gotten down on hands and knees with a scrub brush and even that doesn't get it clean. These tiles are terrible. March 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful tile! We replaced the flooring in our basement bathroom with this tile. It looks new, modern, and clean. We love it July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful! We are currently in the process of remodeling our main bathroom. We selected the Metro Glacier porcelain tile for our walls and the Cresta White porcelain tile for the floor. They look amazing together! July 6, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Very Hard to Clean These tiles looks great but I do not know how to keep them clean. It seems like anything that drops, stains these titles, even if it is wiped up quickly. I have an extra title that I am going to purposely 'stain" with coffee/ wine/ etc and test some cleaners to see what works best. I was under the impression that just water would work like it does for most tiles but definitely not the case. Any suggestions? June 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product overall We just installed this product in a remodel of our small bathroom and are pretty pleased with how it turned out. We used the tile in the shower and also on the floor. Overall I think it looks nice but as some other reviewers have stated regarding using it as flooring: it shows everything! If I were doing a larger room I probably would have used a different tile for the floor but since this is such a small room and a rug hides most of the floor it's not a huge deal for me. It's also pretty easy to clean so that helps too. September 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent value and quality Put down a laundry room floor 125 sf with 9 boxes of tiles. Because of some cornering around cabinets and such this was enough with just one tile left over. No tiles in our 9 boxes were flawed. We had them delivered to our Home Depot instead of to the house because we felt that there would be more care in the delivery and it worked out. We used a light gray grout approved for wet environments like showers. We were able to complete the job (after 1 day of installing the hardy board underlaymemt) in two days. So the whole project took 3 working days. We did wait the recommended 24 to 72 hours after the thin set and 24 hours after grouting, so from beginning to end plan for 6 days until you can use it . The floor looks great. April 30, 2016
