Answer:
Charcoal is definitely has more brown tones. Wish they didn't call it charcoal, since I can't remember the last time I saw brown charcoal. Go with the black if you want "charcoal".

Answer:
Probably too late to chime in for Rachel, but for anyone else reading Charcoal and Glacier are very different. The Charcoal is actually more of a gray mixed with brown base and the glacier is gray mixed with white base. The lines on both have a bit of tan. I'm trying to decide which to use now. A side by side with each color is attached. Lighter one is the glacier.

Per floorelf dot com, the way you calculate your minimum grout line is: To figure out how small you can go, place nine tiles in a 3 X 3 foot square butted against each other. Measure corner to corner diagonally both ways and see how close they are. If they are within 1/16 inch that is the size grout line you can use safely. From experience with my cases of Metro Glacier was 2/16 ie. 1/8. MSI should have answered my question, it depends. We make restricted tiles cut precisely for 1/16 grout lines however non-restricted cut tiles like the Metro Glacier series have a slight variance in size. Do you want a headache swapping out tiles to both fit correctly 1/16 grout line and match color tone? Or would you rather use 1/8 and only worry about your color match? How much patience do you have to make additional tile cuts in case your lines divert? With 1/8 grout lines you will accommodate for the variation and likely need to make fewer cuts compared to going with a 1/16 grout line. Also if you make a good match with grout and tile, the lines will not seem as large when viewing. Read Less

This tile is a cleaning nightmare! the only thing that seems to work is getting on your hands and knees using Goof Off or mineral spirits... good luck using a swiffer mop! if you move a chair or a table the tile marks up. Don't walk on the tile with shoes on! Wish I knew what a disaster this was going to be before I installed this in my brand new 26 x 16 kitchen!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS MSI inc. TILE!!!

I used PolyBlend's "Bone" color. It didn't turn out well despite the color chip and color print on the bag being the "perfect color" to my eyes. Probably I'll be grinding it out and replacing it with a light gray color. This "Bone" color didn't dry to the ultra light, dust in the wind sort of beige that the color chip indicated. It ended up looking like dirty white grout (inconsistent coloring). This seems to happen, well, every time I've used the brand of grout available at Home Depot. No issues with Mapei branded grout, inconsistent coloring with PolyBlend every time. And, yes, I mixed, waited, mixed and applied it correctly. Not hard. Moral of the story, I think it looks good with light beige grout (the lightest color model, that is) but don't use Bone unless you have better luck than me. Read Less

Answer:
Grout color is just like picking out the tile itself; ultimately it is up to you to decide what is the best choice.
You can approach it 2 different ways, either you want the grout to match the tiles in similar or exact color, or have it complimentary. It is entirely up to you.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 37 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by horrible packing Ordered 6- boxes of 8 tiles each. Came from manufacturer(I suppose). Promptly received product in 3 days, via ups delivery. Came NOT packaged in original cartons. Was shipped in 12-boxes of 4 tiles each! Each box of 4 tiles was totally encapsulated wit expandable spray foam. I understand why this was done, but removing the tiles was more than I bargained for. It took 2 1/2 hours to get tiles out of boxes, and I was left with a mountain of cardboard, and expandable foam to dispose of! Was originally going to return order to store, but didn't (against my better judgement). Not Home Depots fault, but still not a good way to ship a product. Tile is nice, though. Be sure it's at a local store before purchasing it, though. August 23, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Color variance I bought this tile for my kitchen and dining floor. The quality of tile is pretty good, however the color difference from one to another is big(like some other review mentioned). I am disappointed on how my floor looks when finished as I have a yellow cast tile next to red cast one. My contractor didn't sort out or reorganize it, so it is not obvious. I can't blame him as I don't think anyone will do or should do. I hope the tile company will have tighter color tolerance for their products. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to Work With AND Easy to Clean No problem installing and cutting - and I love the larger size. Easiest tile install I've ever done. I have read a lot of reviews claiming that this tile isn't easy to clean. So, I waited several months before reviewing. I installed the lightest version of this in our most frequently visited bathroom. It has been used and abused! I have had ZERO problem cleaning it. It looks as good as it did when I installed it a little under 6 months ago. I even painted the bathroom afterwards - no problem cleaning up splatters. I can only surmise that a difference in lots might account for this??? Whatever the case, I am thrilled with this tile! August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE IT! I just had a new shower put in and used this tile for the walls. I absolutely love it! Gorgeous! April 8, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Matching 3x24 Bullnose not actual size I purchased the 12x24 tile to use on the shower and outside walls of my bathroom. I found the matching 3x24 bullnose to go with it as well. I discovered the bullnose is not actual 3x24, it's about a 1/4 smaller. WHY? August 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice fit for us. This tile provides just the right "beachy feel" in the bathroom for which it was chosen. Seems to be strong and well made. No breakage when cutting it to fit around plumbing. August 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't clean! I wanted tile throughout my house for easy cleaning. This tile doesn't come clean. I've tried every product on it. As I can see from other reviews, other people are having the same problem. It looks great in the store but after only 3 months of use, there are black areas. I've gotten down on hands and knees with a scrub brush and even that doesn't get it clean. These tiles are terrible. March 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful tile! We replaced the flooring in our basement bathroom with this tile. It looks new, modern, and clean. We love it July 19, 2016
