Yes, in store you can. I just 1 tile of each to take home and check what I thought would be a good fit for our project. Each tile has a barcode on one of the short edges. It wouldn't scan at the register but all they had to do was key in the barcode number manually.

I did not see anything but case lots being sold in my local store. This may vary from store to store. I would ask an associate at your local store about single tile availability.

I just called the manufacturer today (Hayward, CA location) and they told me that they do not make a matching bullnose, but if you had a fabricator they could cut it to size. I'm just a DIY homeowner, so that was unfortunately not an option for me.

I am not aware of an available bullnose. The way to increase the artistry of your workmanship is to bring in a contrasting design or subtle color difference as an accent. There are other prefab borders or edgings that can be utilized.

You'll have a much easier tile just ripping out the vinyl flooring to the subfloor and then installing hardy board and installing over that instead of trying to level the hardy board on top of vinyl. Better to do it right once than to have to redo it.

Answer:
Never, I repeat never install a tile over a vinyl floor. True, in very old houses the vinyl or the adhesive contained asbestos which should be removed by a contractor. However, most removals don't require a permit. What usually happens with time is that the tile adhesive will cause breakdown of the vinyl and then the tiles will break or crack simply by walking on them.

If you did not have to perform the previous step, lightly sand down the vinyl flooring with a disk sander. If the floor is small enough and you don't mind getting on your knees, you don't need to go out and rent a floor sander--use your power hand-sander. Thoroughly clean the tile. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Uptown tile for bathroom and kitchen We installed the metro gris tile in our kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and bonus room off the kitchen It looks great and is easy to sweep, mop, or wipe up. As other reviewers have mentioned, it does tend to show marks easily, like every time you come in form outside and walk across with your shoes on, you'll notice. So, we've started a new tradition of taking our shoes off when we come in. Then it stays beautiful without constant mopping. When our guys installed it, they did mention there was a lot of "ghosting" of the grout ... it was very hard to get the grout off the tiles and get it looking clean. But somehow they got it done. Regarding choosing the right grout color for this tile ... We used pewter grout on the metro gris tiles in the bathroom. From a photo I had of the work progress, I thought the pewter grout was too brownish. So we got the "dove gray" custom color grout for the kitchen. When I arrived on site and saw the pewter grout in the bathroom, it was PERFECT! The problem had been the lighting in the photo. And then ... when I saw the dove gray grout in the kitchen in person ... it was too blue/lavender ... oh darn. Oh well! It still looks fine in the kitchen, even with the mis-matched grout ... after all, the grout is a small amount of the whole surface area. Mostly you see the beautiful tiles. But now I know, for future reference ... if you want a grout color that will blend in with this tile (so the grout lines don't jump out at you), and one that matches the color of the tiles themselves ... the in-stock pewter grout is the one to get. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Tile Nice modern looking porcelain tiles. The tiles are large which made installation quite easy. However, they are very heavy so it was difficult to transport. Overall, each box was in good condition. There weren't very many tiles that had defects. I had installed similar tiles in white and it looks fantastic. This is definitely for a more modern look. The previous tiles are fairly stain resistant and comes clean easily when it does get dirty. However, both the tiles and grout have been sealed after installation. August 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Porcelain Tile with and Amazing Look! The installation was a breeze. This is exactly the kind of tile we were looking for. It totally completed our kitchen look and we couldn't be any happier with the turnout! Some of the tiles have tiny blemishes on them but very hard to spot. Overall for the quality of the product the price was great! March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful! Did my shower and bathroom floor, in lighter color, and turned out awesome! I've read some comments about cleaning but i squeegie mine before I get out. Can't go wring for the price. February 10, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks pretty, terrible to keep clean My husband and I had our eyes on this tile for a long time before purchasing it to lay in our kitchen. We used dark grout, and although we were happy with the look of the tile with the dark grout upon finishing installation, we immediately realized how difficult it is to keep clean! Just like a dark colored car, everything shows up on this dark tile. We are used to walking into the kitchen with our shoes on, but we need to change house rules now because I just don't have it in me to mop every day. If there are any tips on keeping this tile clean, please share your wisdom. We just installed this two weeks ago and we're already regretting the dark tile choice. Go with light tile, dark grout. It's much easier to keep clean. P.S. The porcelain tile chips easily. Be very careful. February 5, 2016
