Product Overview

Update the look of your home with help from the M. S. International 12 in. x 12 in. Temple Gray Polished Marble Floor and Wall Tile. The tile offers Grade 1, natural stone construction for use on your floor, wall or countertop. Its unglazed, smooth finish with a high sheen and a random variation in tone can complement your decor. It is frost resistant for long-lasting strength throughout the seasons. NOTE: Inspect all tiles before installation. Natural stone products inherently lack uniformity and are subject to variation in color, shade, finish, etc. It is recommended to blend tiles from different boxes when installing. Natural stones may be characterized by dry seams and pits that are often filled. The filling can work its way out and it may be necessary to refill these voids as part of a normal maintenance procedure. All natural stone products should be sealed with a penetrating sealer. After installation, vendor disclaims any liabilities.

Customer Questions & Answers

Purchased tiles 1 week ago. Installed 4 days ago. They are craking, bending and the dust on the back wont stick. Are they warrantied.

Ttiles are cracking, bending chiping, dust on the back causing them not to stick to the floor. Although I did not pay a lot of money for them I want to know if there is a warranty on them. They are pretty but no good. Every time you walk on them they crack. I had a legitimate contractor put them down for me and paid him good money. Please answer me right away. Very discusted. Contractor said they are poor quality. The dust mixed with the thinset and will not stick. Can you help, Dont want money back just different tiles.

Sorry to hear of the problems your are having with these tiles. A couple of things to know before finding the cause of the problem. First, did the contractor put down backer board? If not, then the tiles are likely to slip-slide away due to lack of adhesion. It's most likely not related to any dust on the back of the tile. Second, if the the contractor did use appropriate installation techniques then it is possible that the subfloor itself is flexing thereby causing the tile and grout to also flex when walked upon. I had a similar problem occur in a bathroom I renovated a few years ago. I solved the issue by letting the floor settle for a few months then going back and taking out and regrouting the problem areas. If the tiles are not "bent" when they are on a level surface pre-installation then they will not bend post-installation. Marble is a naturally rigid material that will crack (rather than bend) when stressed. If the tiles were not level before installation then I would be concerned that your contractor chose to install them anyway. I hope this information is helpful.

Temple Grey 12 in. x 12 in. Polished Marble Floor and Wall Tile (5 sq. ft. / case)-DISCONTINUED is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The color is awesome My product is actually darker than the picture but GORGEOUS. The installers were impressed that such a high quality flooring came from Home Depot, especially for the price that was paid. They had no problem installing it. It went down nicely, the color is beautiful and and it completely changed the look of my bathroom at a great price. Of course we have to put the toilet and sink back for the full effect but I am still in awe as it is right now. Love it! Oh...and not one tile was cracked. Every piece was in tact and perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just ok Probably one of the nicest looking tiles, but horrible to install. Tiles were weak, cracked and nearly impossible to cut on the wet saw without them cracking. If it wasnt for the poor shipping responsible for the cracked tile, the tiles would allmost fall apart in my hands. More of the tiles would crack under the weight of walking on it and once they settled, still more have cracked! If it wasnt for how beautifull look of these tiles, they wouldnt be in my house. Advise, DONT BUY!!!!! Not worth the agrivation

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's vital to inspect each tile no matter how long or the inconvienience. We ordered over 270 temple grey 12 X 12 " polished marble grey floor tiles about three months ago. I have 10 strong years collectively in construction. I've laid and helped lay (with a few pros) several tile jobs and some of them big jobs. I was sure that this would be a fun and rewarding personal job on our kitchen floor. I have pictures of atleast 25 tiles that have significant cracks on the back (deep enough to deem the 70% weaker) and atleast 30 or more that have chipped/cracked corners. When the semi-truck pulled up to our house I was pumped up. So I didn't take the time to inspect every box (5 tiles a box and 30 lbs. each box) in the driveway that giddy and sunny day. Some of tiles are out of square, enough to show 3/16" to 1/4" off after laying 5 tiles in a horizontal row. Supposedly it wasn't a market standard to cut marble this big (12" sq.) and this thin (3/8" thin) and BOY HoDwY do I know why now. No floor is perfeclty square and there is very little deflection allowed under a given 300 lb. load or guess what??? The tiles will crack and come loose after you've laid 274 of them. As well (AND THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT) there is a fine dust film from the quarry that will render even the best mix of thinset useless or guess what?,your tiles won't bind to the concrete board substrate and your 270 tiles will just pop off. Consider my words you weekend warriors before you join the ranks of those that hang there head in disgust everytime you lay foot on your marble floor job. I use to blaze through jobs like this and now I lay between 6 and 8 tiles and see how they act due to the cracks, dust (handwash each tile how about it on the backs?), the out-of-square ones and the thinness of each tile. INSPECT EACH TILE exven if your solo and don't have the luxury of a crew of workers that you can pay dirt ($8 to $10 hourly). Put your hands and eyes on every single tile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value Installed 70 sq ft of this. Only two cracked tiles in the lot, which I consider excellent for natural stone in this price range. No issues with installation, adhesion to floor, cutting (we installed diagonally, so there were a number of cuts) or cracking after install. Been rolling an office chair (which is tough on any flooring) over this tile for 2 weeks now with a 200 lb guy in it, no issues. Looks great, very inexpensive.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay Only ordered one case to see if it looked like online. Samples had more irregularities than online pix, but still good for the price. In One case the corners of two tiles were broken

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High quality marble tile with a reasonble price This is a high quality marble tile with an elegant appearance. There were no problems with cutting the tile or with installation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Maybe too cheap This marble is very pretty and a great price- really the best price you'll find for marble hands down, but it is not high or even medium quality. There are crags in the gains that are not filled and that go more than half way through the stone. I was worried this could lead to breakage so it's going back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I'm having it installed in the master bathroom looks great! The tile guy using tile says its good quality product. Buy it you will love it! Looks as good as the $7sq.
