This granite tile is absolutely beautiful! This tile is the perfect compliment to our newly renovated kitchen. My husband I took on the challenge of refinishing cabinets, painting walls and ultimately laying this granite tile floor. Although this was our first time installing tile flooring, we are extremely happy we took on the task of installing this sometimes challenging tile. We chose to grout with a light gray grout and applied two coats of "wet look" sealer. The sealer enhanced the beautiful colors unique to each tile in all shades of brown, gray and black. The tiles are individually unique of each other when combined as a whole has created and amazing, durable floor for our highly used kitchen. We took the manufacturers suggestion and laid out several rows of tile at a time so that we could see how they would look before being glued down. I can't wait to do the entryway next!!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DYSelfer Not consistent three rivers gold
I expected some variety in colors but not so much that only about half of the tiles were within the three rivers gold spectrum. The other half were mostly shades of gay. I could place many of those along the installation to allow for variety and color balance but still ended with over fifty square feet of unused gray ones out of a four hundred fifty square foot purchase. Simply stated, one out of nine tiles I could not use. Also ran into a few tiles that had apparently broken and were glued back in place. Those I could not use as the seams where they had broken were quite visible. They are still reasonably priced, so given the problems listed, it may or may not be a viable purchase. I have another installation to do in my propert, and will likely get these again. Either that or pay much more for a better product.

Too many gray tiles. I expected some variation in the colors as it is slate, but too many with no gold/orange tones is not acceptable. I will be able to use some to add to my patio's color display, but, I'll end up with quite a few not used. Using them all would distort the color balance. I would retur those if not for the 15% restocking fee.
As for thickness consistency, there is some variation, but acceptable as it is a stone product.

I wanted to cover an old walkway, not dig it up. This was a cheap, nice looking way to vastly improve the look and safety of my walk. Some tiles were very brittle, and came apart in my hand. Over all a good deal.

We wanted to give our indoor patio an outdoor feel. We chose this floor tile because of its rustic uneven setup and for the variety in colors. You will get a bit more gray tiles. Best solution is to buy a few more boxes. Lay out your tiles prior to setting them to get an idea how you want the tile patterns to look. Some tiles are fragile when handling and breaks easy. I learned to hold each with two hands to avoid that issue.
Once laid on the floor the tiles gave us the desired look which we wanted. We are very happy with the results. We also decided to use the patio as an office. This definitely added a great visual difference from the brown carpet that was here before and is a great opening statement when coming into our home from the front door.

The color mix is nice, but there is a large percentage of gray tiles. Since they were so cheap, I bought 3 additional boxes of 10, and cherry picked the best ones for our application. In our 6 boxes, we only got a couple that were truly "gold", and a few solid reddish ones. Most were gray with color highlights. In the end, since we were able to cherry pick the best ones, the mix is nice, not too gray.
Just something to keep in mind, buy a lot more than you need. Also, there were a lot that had been broken, and reglued, but since the finish is "rough", it was not a problem.
Lastly, some tiles were literally twice as thick as others, so it makes it a bit more tricky to install...having to thicken the mortar layers on some, and getting an even, level surface.
Overall, these tiles are very nice, just be sure to buy extra.
