My past 2 lawnmowers have been bigger and more powerful however they were all purchased used from craigslist and I never got more than 2 seasons out of them despite my attempts at maintenance. I promised myself that the next one would be purchased new and this lawnmower has put everything I've used previously to shame. It was incredibly easy to set up, starts every time on the first pull and powers though tall and/or wet grass that my past mowers would stall out in constantly. Looking forward to, with proper upkeep, having this Briggs & Stratton for a long time.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Joe Good mower, make sure gas is fresh!!!
I just finished fixing a surging problem with this mower. MAKE SURE the gas is fresh, meaning no more then 30 days old. If possible, buy ethanol free gas. If you put stale gas in this machine the carb will clog instantly and it will run rough or not start. Remove the carb and clean, remove the jet and clean every piece inside the carb. Put new gas in it. This should solve 99% of the problem associated with this mower. ONLY prime the mower 3 times lightly, if you push the button more then that it will flood the engine. If you flood the engine it wont start and you will have to wait 20 minutes for the gas to clear. I found this mower floods easily. It should start on the first pull if you have fresh gas and prime 3x.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Homeowner DO NOT BUY THIS MOWER
I am on my second mower of this model. The first refused to start after 3 outings, I took it back and HD traded it for a new one. Now the second one refuses to start. This is a ridiculously bad product that should not be on the market at all. After reading many of the reviews, I have to wonder what HD was thinking when they decided to carry it and why they keep it in inventory - it gives them a bad reputation.

This mower was fairly easy to assemble however would not start easily. Have had the mower for 3 monhts and now it won't start at all. I purchased a warranty, however, they send you to a shop that wants $42 just to look at it. Can't see putting more money into a lawnmower that is literally a piece of junk. i would definitely not recommend this mower to anyone., I wish i had read the reviews on this mower before purchasing as starting it seems to be a real common problem

Worked fine for two mowings, then had trouble starting, then wouldn't start at all - about the sixth mowing. Yes, gas and oil were fine. Connection was good. Unfortunately, wasted money on this piece of garbage.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Handymom You get what you pay for.
I purchased this lawn mower to get through the end of the mowing season while mine was being repaired. It is easy to assemble. It comes with oil and a filter. The only thing needed to get mowing is gas. It does the job but it is really poorly made. It is made of thin metal and cheap plastic. There is no way to adjust the height of the blade so it cuts the grass a little too close for my taste.
