Answer:
Depends on the weight and size of the logs. It has a limited length cable (about 7 or 8 feet). We used it to pull a very large ride-on mower/plow up a ramp onto a trailer. Ride-on had flat tires. I guess we were pulling 1000 pounds force. Puller is rated much higher than that.

Also, according to one review this is not a 2000 pound but a 1000 pound come along with a 12 foot cable.
Please advise as to the pounds and cable length along with double gears.
I want to pull a car out if a garage approximately 10 to 12 feet.
Thank you

Answer:
The 2000 lb and the 1000 lb are virtually the same model, except the 2000 lb model has one of the hooks on a pulley so you get twice the mechanical advantage and half the pulling distance. I'd be really surprised if you needed more than a 1000 lb pull to get a car out of a garage, and the 12' pulling distance means fewer setups.

2,000 lb. 12 ft. Winch Puller is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Winch Puller did the job We bought the puller to drag a heavy ride-on mower with snow plow blade and flat tires up a ramp and onto a trailer. It did the job beautifully. Well worth the price even if we used it only once. I should have bought a small steel cable sling because the hook could not easily attached to the ride-on but we fashioned something with a piece of rope.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Strong but easy to jam I used this to help guide felling some medium sized pine trees and it worked but the cable inside jammed before moving to the second tree. I tried to release the jammed cables with no avail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It did the job I bought 2 of these to pull a huge pine tree that I was cutting it and the tree was lining to the opposite side that it was suppose to fall. It was easy to operate and it made the tree fall where I want it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Satisfied With Product I purchased this product to lift a 600lb. motor 8' into the air to replace a bad motor. It worked flawlessly, I was able lower the motor I was replacing to the ground without any difficulty. Also a few weeks later I used it to pull a stuck lawn tractor out of the mud by tying the other end to the tree, the tractor weighed approximately 500-600 lbs. It is very easy to use, I would recommend this to anyone who needed it. There are some cheaper versions in price but they are not built as well, and not as easy to use. You get what you pay for, if you have something you need to lift or pull and whatever it is that is on the other end is important to you, I would buy this one, or the appropriate one for your weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked for what I needed. But not listed correctly. I needed something to help pull my small tractor out of the mud. This winch along with a 20ft chain around a tree did the trick perfectly... twice. But the product details listed online state that it has a 2000lbs capacity when actually it is only 1000lbs. I check and double check the model number and sku with the help of a store representative and verified that the online details for this item are not correct. The box clearly states it is only 1000lbs.
