Answer:
I don't think it's noisy at all. The tray might be installed incorrectly, or you have items near/on the microwave that might cause noise interference.

I only experienced a small amount of noise when operating. I think part of the reason for that is because I have small, yet heavy ceramic spoon holder on top - maybe (?).

In my experience, if you put things on top of the microwave, it will make more noise when operating. That said, the noise doesn't really bother me - I love to cook - since I'm only using the microwave for short bursts/small projects, the level of noise made me think twice.

the inside dimension is 11 1/2 " so I think nothing bigger than 10 1/2 inches wide would fit inside but
but it will accommodate a dish or bowl that is 5 " high. Yes it will cook a large bag of popcorn

I use it for large bags of popcorn. At least they are large to me.
They are the Pop Secret bags that come 3 in a box.
I do not think it is possible to put a 12" wide casserole dish in it.
A standard sized dinner plate just fits in with a little room to spare.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 86 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by a good value I bought this for my cabin which has a small kitchen. It fits the space well, and wanted the red color to go with some of the other accents in the kitchen. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No problems, so far. Just started using my new microwave a few weeks ago. I love the color. Actually, I thought that since it is only 900 watts that it would take a lot longer to cook/heat than my older 1100 watt, but it does a very good job. It is a lot quieter than my older microwave, also. Therefore, so far, I have no complaints. May 11, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by didn't work, DOA Rec'd brand new but it didn't work out of the box. Got refund from manufacturer and bought a Kenmore brand red microwave from kmart instead. February 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Little Red Microwave So far, it has done every thing that I want it to do. I have not tried everything yet. Have not had one of these in years. Concerned about safety. Is it worth the risk? Oh yeah! For me it is. Just quickly baking a potato, I wrap it in foil after to steam while I finish cooking other things. Takes way too long in the regular oven. I got the red because I have a red toaster, and two crock pots that are red. February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Package was in before I expected to be in. The item was in perfect condition. And it was exactly what I looking for. March 8, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ALMOST PERFECT We wanted a red microwave so our choices were limited. Of them, the Magic Chef got the highest across-the-board marks from consumers. Our space is limited, making the .9 cubic footer essential. Yes, we're happy with it so far. The unit itself is fairly quiet but the metal exterior surface picks up and amplifies the normal operational noise. We're able to reduce that by keeping a trivet on top. Otherwise, we would have given it five stars. February 10, 2016
