Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home depot had the best price!!! After looking on line for several weeks for a replacement beverage center for my home, I found the Magic Chef dual temperature wine/beverage center on sale at Home Depot. I love the fact that it maintains two compartments at different temperatures. The unit fit in the prepared space under my counter. The center works great and is quiet. I really like the fact the it came with a lot of different options to place bottles or cans in different areas of the beverage center. It is a great product that is very quiet when running. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy! Careful My unit did not work at all right out of the box (poor quality inspection). Magic Chef claims they need a part but it is back ordered. I have been waiting for the part for 2 months already, and was told they have no idea when they will get it. NO SPARE PARTS FOR NEW UNITS???? Amazing! I was offered a refund, but I bought the unit on sale and with a discount. I will never be able to buy the same unit with the refund offered. I asked for a new unit and was told "we don't do that". Who is going to pay to have this unit removed from my house, returned and have a new one installed? Certainly not Magic Chef. Stay away from this company's products and lack of service and responsibility. They do not stand by their products. Customers be aware! July 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good beverage center I know some people are saying it's noisy, but it's no more noisy then a normal fridge. The compressor only runs when one of the two zones needs cooling. There are two fans in the back of the fridge one for each zone, they make some noise but they aren't loud. Zones operate independently. Mine came with two glass shelves, three wire wine racks and one smaller rack for the bottom. The door is not reversible, I think the older models had reversible doors, but there are no screw holes to move the hinge on the top or any way to move the door handle. If you need to move this item down steps remove the door, and take out the shelves. The case is very light with the door removed which accounts for most of it's weight. The glass door is heavy!. I was able to move the item myself down a flight of steps with no dolly with the door and shelves off. The door attaches with 4 10 millimeter bolts, and easy to remove. So far it's very quiet, cools very fast. the minimum temp is 39 degrees so if you want cooler then that this isn't for you. the back is a solid panel, so if you have issues with outlet placement be careful moving it back into a built in area. The interior light is also a blue LED, so don't let the pictures fool you, it is not a white interior light. November 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice under counter beverage cooler in our remodeled kitchen I purchased this Magic Chef 24" wide cooler (or whatever model was available at the time) in June 2013 for $500. I see it now listed for $400, but I'm OK with that. It has been great. We installed it under out counter as part of a major kitchen and main living floor upgrade for an upper middle class home in the burbs. The dual zone works great, the space is fine, and I can easily slide it in and out of the space my contractor built -- yet it looks like a permanent fixture. There is a slight "hum" sound when you are within 5' of the unit, but nothing that would cause a complaint. It gets a lot of "ooh" and "ahh" comments from people that come into our home. The only item I could complain about is the plastic housing that covers the blue lamp inside the roof -- it broke and the only way I can remedy the light is to use a small piece of masking tape to replace one of the two screws that holds the housing in place -- it looks OK, just a minor quibble. Overall, if you are looking for a 24" wine/beverage cooler and you aren't a professional sports athlete making millions per year - get this one. I searched about 20 models and this one won my vote. It beat out anything under a grand. Still does. December 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cooler Review Fit right under the counter and looks ggreat in bar area. Keeps constant 39 degrees. Good value for a dual temp control. Only complaint would be shelf heights, need to put beer bottles on side to get a lot in. Cans fit great. August 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product is a real value for the price Very quiet, and keeps everything cold. Having two zones one for wine and the other for soda and beer at the price you cannot beat it. The only problem are the number of shelves, cannot use them all. December 4, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great wine fridge! I bought this wine fridge as part of our kitchen remodel. We used it to store just about everything until we could install the regular refrigerator. It worked fine and was super quiet. Now that we have just about finished the remodel, we have installed it, put all of the wine racks in, set the temperatures, turned the lights on, and are enjoying it. After putting it in place and adjusting the leveling feet, we loaded it with a case of beer and two cases of wine. I would say it took about four hours for it to get to the correct temperature. I'm sorry if others find their unit loud. We live in a very quiet condo, and I can not hear ours running. One negative is that, if you unplug it or if the power goes out, the unit resets to its default settings, which include Celsius instead of Fahrenheit, lights off, etc. Lastly, it comes with both wine racks and with flat glass shelves. You have to use one or the other- not both. So, you end up storing one set of racks outside of the machine. I think they could have designed it such that the glass shelves slid under the wine racks, in the fridge. But they didn't, so I stowed them on the top rack of our pantry, hopefully out of the way. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed in Condition Unfortunately, when we picked up this item from the store the box was torn as if a forklift had misjudged and therefore, had broken through the box. We took our chances and brought the unit home, unpacked it and there were dents in the back where the box was torn. The front stainless section was discolored. We thought we could diminish the inconsistancy of the finish with stainless cleaner, but to no avail. Now we need to rent a truck to get the unit back to the store to return. The product itself would have been a great item for the price, but it was damaged in delivery to the store. April 16, 2015
