I have a 20 amp breaker in our garage. Is that sufficient to support this unit? I ask because, when it's the only thing plugged in, my 20 amp GFI circuit that it's on pops.

Answer:
1. Is the fridge it properly grounded? Correct type of plug in receptacle Three prong grounded? If the fridge is only 2-prong then adding a ground line might fix the problem you are seeing with the GFCI
2. Does it pop off when the compressor cuts in? If soo there may just be too much of a surge, so neutral gets out of phase with ground

Answer:
Hello, the coils are located on the sides of the unit rather than the back. Heat is transmitted therefore a minimum space of 4-5 inches of space is required all around the unit for proper ventillation. Thank You!

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 904 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Product is great- but came damaged. This fridge is a great size (for my classroom) and has a lot of space. Only complaint is that when I unpacked it there was a huge dent in the side. Am I going to repack it- take it out of my classroom put it in my tiny car and take it back to home depot? No. that's way too much of a hassle for a dent- but still. I'm not sure if its the manufactures packaging- or home depots loading and unloading but there shouldn't be damage to a brand new item. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My smartest purchase in a long time I purchased this Magic Chef mini fridge primarily to free up space in my large refrigerator. I keep all of my water, soft drinks and juices in it. Nice and cold. The freezer compartment works beautifully I am looking forward to many years of enjoyment and usage. Oh, and GO COUGARS!!! I immediately decorated it with my school colors. Washington State University. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great buy Worth every penny. It's a great fridge. It's aesthetically pleasing, has plenty of space inside. The 3 shelves I found were too many for the amount of space inside so I just removed one. The soda can holder on the side is a huge space saver. Love this fridge! August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good little refrigerator. Easy to clean and seems to be efficient on the electric bill. I liked them better when they were $99.00. I only bought 7 of them. I should have purchased more. October 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It's ok I buy a mini fridge every year. They burn out because I install them under the counter in our basement kitchen and they are meant to be stand alone appliances. I cannot compare the lifespan of these units because I am using them improperly. It's a pain but I can buy 18 of these for the price of an under counter unit. The fridge is decent looking, keeps my drinks cold and was very inexpensive. Works for me. October 26, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Door with a huge dent I didn't give it a thought and thought It was funny when the salesman asked if I want to take a look before we take out the door. I said no and took it home. Sure there was a huge on the door when I opened the box when I got home. I called the store and asked if it could deliver a good and pick the dented one and the store said no. It is just so much hassle to drag the thing back and forth. I am debating whether to take it back for a good one. October 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love This Lil' Fridge! Had experience with this small fridge in a hotel for an extended stay recently. We immediately bought one when we returned home as a backup fridge. Small, reasonably priced ($159), glass shelves and amazed at how much we could fit into it. Just a great secondary fridge. And easy to unplug when not needed. What's not to like? October 18, 2016
