Rated 5 out of 5Â by ladybugsluck9 small washer that thinks it's a full size!
I went from an apt. with full size washer dryer to an apt with no hookups. I'm disabled, & can't drive. I was in my new apt 2 weeks before I ordered this washer. I used it today! WOW!!! I was so impressed! I recommend putting it on an appliance dolly available in the store for $20 makes moving it so much easier. Very easy to use! Love the digital touch buttons.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by JCinDSM Great for downsizing
I recently was forced into a downsizing (a life change that rhymes with "schmivorce"), moving from a house in the 'burbs to an apartment. Was accustomed to a big front-load washer and dryer. Definitely didn't want to have to fool around with a laundrymat or some laundry room at the apartment complex. Got this little guy as an alternative. It is a handy little unit, though bigger than I was expecting. It fits into my linen closet easily, and I just hook it up in a bathroom sink. It's got a quick wash cycle, then an "air dry" setting that is basically just an hour-long spin cycle. So, clothes are about half-dry when you take them out after that cycle. I have 2 racks on which I hang my clothes after washing them. It does require liquid fabric softener in lieu of a real dryer cycle. But, it's well worth it. Considering laundry costs about $3-$4/load at my complex, I figure in a year, I will have paid for this thing. Then, when I eventually do move back into a house, this will be a nice little thing to have as a backup. Overall, I'm really happy with it!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Sonia Great product!!
The machine is very quiet which was a concern to me. It's fairly easy to move around and to install. It washes a decent amount of laundry at one time and the close comes out almost dry, if you wish to air dry they dry over night. It has many different programs and temperature options and it also allows you to just spin the close for a even quicker dry. I love the washer and would recommend!

I have been researching machines for a long time and the price range was from $200 - $900 for an apartment size portable washing machine I talked to an appliance person where they didn't sell them and he told me that Magic Chef was made by Whirlpool. Tada! decision made. larger capacity is a must. For the extra money, it is worth it. I get a ton of laundry in one load. Jeans, towels sweats- the whole nine yards.
I was disturbed by the fact that the wash cycle seemed really slow, as if for dedicates, but I got used to that because the close come out very clean.
I wouldn't recommend this for a family because it is small and unless you have somewhere besides the kitchen sink to hook it up to, the sink would be out of reach for a long time.
I do laundry once a week because it is kind of a pain to bring it from the closet where it is stored to the kitchen sink. None of the 1.6 models are not on wheels . I am thinking of making a cart for it.

Great washer, well worth it! We live in an apt and have always either had to go to the laundromat or use the washers in the basement, which were hit or miss. It's great being able to do laundry now at home just by connecting the washer to our bathroom sink. Gets our clothes nice and clean and almost dry after the spin cycle. The wheels aren't the best, making the washer a little hard to move from one place to another, but we took the advice of another reviewer and bought a furniture dolly to keep it on, which works perfectly! Very happy with our purchase and would highly recommend!
