The default setting is 55 Fahrenheit. Wine side is chilled at 50 degrees and the beer side at 38 degrees. I don't have the manual in front of me, but I'm sure you can take both sides to colder than 32 degrees Fahrenheit, but then you are eating your drinks...

According to the manual the temp range for both sides is 39-64 degrees F. with a +/- tolerance of 5 degrees. That means the unit could potentially only coold to 44 degrees. This is why these units are marketed as beverage "coolers" and not refridgerators. Yes. Any unit that vents from the front can be installed as an under counter or built in unit. Just don't block the front bottom vent.

Hi Katina,
I'm Travis from The Home Depot. Thanks for visiting our site.
Yes, this cooler can be mounted under cabinets. A minimum 24'' cutout width is required and the doors should protrude 1'' beyond the surrounding cabinets for the doors to open fully.
Thank you for asking,
-Travis

Dual Zone 23.4 in. 42-Bottle 114 Can Wine and Beverage Cooler is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from not happy we received the fridge as scheduled but as soon as we plugged it in we noticed that the right side lights and temperature function didn't work. We called Home Depot and were directed to magic Chefs warrantee customer department. we filed a report and were told someone would call us to schedule a service. 6 days later we still haven't had a call back and the fridge only works on half the side. I just called again and checked and was told that they will try dispatching someone again. My recommendation to whoever buys this is to take it out of the box at home depot and plug it in make sure it works before taking it home.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from LOOKS GREAT BUT DOESN'T COOL I bought the unit that came from a warehouse and it didn't work upon first time connection. Keep in mind I had to haul the heavy unit from Home Depot to my house. Today it got serviced and it's considered dead. I'll be getting a refund, hopefully soon. Time to find another beverage cooler that will fit my custom cabinets to this size. What a pain in the behind. My kitchen is currently getting remodeled and it looks fantastic, too bad it doesn't work.

I paid $100 to find out that the Evaporator is attached to the interior wall which cannot be accessed ("sealed system"). So I can spend $330 on labor (IF parts are even findable!) or trash it. (Meanwhile, compressor, with 5-year warranty, is still good. so what!) SO, out it goes and vowing to NEVER BUY Magic Chef anything ever!

Mine failed after 15 months. Shipped in a new compressed (under 5yr warranty) and had to pay $350 for the service call to have it installed. Unit failed 2 days after service. Since unit was barely out of warranty when problems began, Magic Chef had absolutely no interest in making good on the unit's failure.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Temp not holding uo Looks great! But we are having issues with the temp staying below high 40's. Will most likely have to take back...which is a pain considering the size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good. Recently purchased this beverage station. Will be building it in, but for now we have it plugged in while we finish construction. It is a bit loud, as others have mentioned, but I am hoping that will improve once we build it into the wall. I love the features (looks nice, love that it gets down to 39 degrees, like the inside lighting and that you can turn it off). Can't beat it for the price so far! I can't really rate it for energy efficiency yet, as we've only had the unit for about a month.

The the person who runs Home Depot's quality department should be reviewed and released if other products are being sold of similar quality. If you look at all the reviews it appears this product has had some issues. That being said, I will take the hit for not doing better homework and eat the $600. The unit stopped working after 8 months on one side then 1 month later the other. Extemely disappointed....

The shipping was fast and communication was clear. The fit of the unit in our cabinet was perfect. The dual zones are nice and the temperature has stayed consistent. I have not noticed any noise yet. The only two draw backs I would mention are that the lights for the temperature are really bright. Most of my other appliances can dim at night but these are quite bright. The second drawback is that the temp only goes down to 39 degrees F. I prefer some beer and soda colder than that but it hasn't been an issue. Just know that this fridge is not going to get your beer "Ice" cold. Of course, my sub-zero fridge came pre-set at 38 degrees. So, this is really a preference thing. All that said, we love it and it has worked fantastic! Would recommend it to anyone.
