Product Overview

The heart of Makita's high pressure pneumatics is the 2.5 HP High Pressure Air Compressor, model AC310H. With a high-pressure 1.6 Gal. tank, the AC310H provides the same capacity as a conventional 50 Gal. tank at 120 psi, but with less noise and a more compact size for easier transport. In addition, the AC310H is engineered to run high pressure and conventional nailers.

What type of fitting do I need to mate to the HP (High Pressure) Quick Couplers on the Makita AC310H compressor?

This question is from 1.6 Gal. 2.5 HP High Pressure Portable Electrical Air Compressor

I have a Makita AC310H air compressor. The RP (Regular Pressure) Quick Couplers mate to standard Industrial style pneumatic fittings, but the HP (High Pressure) Quick Couplers do not. I've tried all three of the standard fitting types and none mate to the HP couplers. What type of fitting do I need, and where can I get them? Thank you.

Answer:
High Pressure fittings are not interchangeable with Industrial or Tru-Flate fittings. If you need to get additional high pressure fittings, please check with your local pneumatic dealer or check on the Makita website.

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sweet i love this compressor my old one never kept up with my siding/framing nail guns this one runs like one tenth the time and now i am able to have both nailers running at the same time. I am glad i didn't read these horrible reviews this nailer can run both 300 psi and 120 psi at the same time with out a hitch. I liked it so much for my framing/siding business i bought two. The only down fall to this compressor is that a wheeled cart doesn't come with it! August 12, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Can only use high pressure source with Makita Tools Before you buy this compressor, understand that you can not buy fittings to mate with the high pressure couplers. You can only use Makita's high pressure hoses which only mate to their high pressure tools. So, if you spend a lot of money on their high pressure compressor, you'll enjoy the priviledge of buying their very expensive hoses to connect to their very expensive nail gun, or you could buy a normal compressor, hose and nail gun and save a boatload of money. What you can't do is use this compressor, as manufactured, as a high pressure source for anything other than Makita's high pressure tools (and I am only assuming they offer more tools than the nail gun offered here at Home Depot). Truly, I now suspect that it won't be long before this compressor is a discontinued (and unsupported) product. September 4, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No high pressure conector available I wish I would have seen the previous review before I had my company buy this. We needed 300 psi and I thought this fit the need. Now I am stuck looking bad because of Makita. September 6, 2012
