Answer:
Hi Smokey, this product is only used for the purpose of cutting masonry. The manufacture states this tool is to only use diamond wheels. No other blade is recommended. That is because use of other type blades can cause a safety hazard.

Answer:
Hi The412, this saw can cut up to 1-3/8 in. You would have to turn over the sandstone. If you're cutting lots of flagstone then get a tile saw and buy a blade for cutting flagstone.

I need to cut holes for vents in my stucco soffit. I'll be holding the saw upside down with the blade up. Just want to make sure it can be used this way with the dust and particles falling on to it.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best one out there I had an older model of this saw that I owned for about 27 years, I changed the brushes once and the blade screw but it finally had a bearing go so I took it apart then decided I would be better off just getting a new one. I have use this new one quite a few times and it works great just like old reliable. August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No saw Blade Included I thought I'd write a review, even though I have yet to use this saw. I ordered it online a week ago for some 16'' x 16'' stamped concrete blocks I was going to be cutting for a patio. I did many online checks and queries and was orginally going to use my grinder or do a rental. I found it difficut to find pricing and proper tools for the job. Online (homemade) tutorials recommended Diamond blades for better cuts and less gerneric blades from breaking apart on you. This tool seemed to fit the bill. Great deal and free fast shipping. No damages to the box or machine. In the picture it's displayed with a blade on it, but did not specify in the specs if one was incuded, so I purchased one anyways. I'm glad I did because it did NOT come with a blade (price for blade was equalent to deal practically). No case was included, but I find that to be common with Mikita. May 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great I bought this saw to cut my tile floor to install wider vanities in bathroom. The cut was about 6 ft. and I cut it dry. Did the job with no problem. February 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as advertised I purchased this to cut concrete roof tiles. It performed like a champ, I only wish it had a slighly larger depth of cut so I wouldn't have had to cut from both sides. May 6, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very good product It worked great for cutting block and stone. I don't recall it having a switch to keep the trigger down for longer cutting times which would make it nicer. Overall it is a very good product. September 26, 2012
