Product Overview

The Makita HM1500B demolition hammer has a powerful 13.5 Amp motor with innovative pneumatic compression system that automatically adjusts air in the cylinder to minimize power loss and to deliver unmatched power-to-weight ratio. Its patented idling mechanism prevents hammering while at idle. An anti-vibration main handle markedly reduces operator fatigue. The versatile side handle on this tool swivels 360°. Its rubber-ringed brush holder cushions vibrations and lengthens life of brushes and armature. This tool is factory grease - packed for approximately 200 hours of lube free operation. Makita designed this hammer with an automatic brush cut-out system and double insulated.

what bits come with it ?

Asked by: Reddog
The Makita 1-1/8 in. Hex Shank 42 lb. Demolition Hammer (HM1500B) does not include a hammer bit. There are several bits available for the HM1500B dependent on your application. The most popular bits are the 20-1/2" Bull Point (D-21353) and 20-1/2" Flat Chisel (D-21369).

Customer Reviews

13.5 Amp 1-1/8 in. Hex Shank 42 lbs. Demolition Hammer is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile tool As a plumber I've used this model of jackhammer in many situations. Mine was purchased in 98, is used weekly and still runs like a dream. The size is very manageable compared to most jackhammers. It goes through foundations, footings and poured slab with very little effort (if you keep sharp bits) and is also light enough that you can break up soil with a spade bit easier than using a shovel. Overall (when you have power) this tool can shave hours off difficult work and save you the backbreaking (and imprecise) work associated with hand tool methods of breaking concrete. If you find yourself renting jackhammers or using sledgehammers often then this tool is a must have.
