Answer:
It has a very nice self-feed. As with most bench planers, it it very important to keep the infeed table, out feed table and the base plate inside the planer both clean and polished. I use automotive polish on mine. If this isn't done the planer may not feed properly.

In in the USA and it's a regular 110v AC model.
I think it has two blades but I just got this unit and hadn't needed to change out blades yet.
It makes pretty nice cuts though, it does have snipe, like all planers in this range.

Answer:
You can take strips of wood down to .5 mm BUT, you have to place it on a thicker and longer board first and run both through together. You know you have gotten to your limit when the piece you are planing disappears into the dust collector.

It's a 12 inch width, some other units are 13 and I don't know if that's an issue, yet. I do use the minimum thickness which is just barely at my minimum for a couple of my jobs but it does work.

The maximum width you can plane is 12". It will plane boards from 1/8" to 6 3/32" thick. The specs don't call for a minimum length but I wouldn't try to plane anything under 4" long.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 33 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Way above par compared to the other two I had the mistake of using. Not near as noisy, very little snipe, solidly built, easy to get to blades, very good feed, very little blow back of sawdust. April 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product! This planer works very nicely. After planing my first piece, I thought it was one of the best tools I own. I won't have a great need to plane material, but in a pinch it gives you much flexibility. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by planer it was easy to set up except for the dust chute out of box it was excelent June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth the buck. I researched the heck out of planers, and am very happy with my purchase. My first use with it was to plane 100 board feet of really hard hickory. It performed flawlessly. And much like other reviewers it had a glasslike finish. The lack of packaging is true...it just sits in a thick cardboard box on a thick cardboard base that is cut to the footprint of the machine. Fortunately mine was in excellent shape out of the box. I also purchased the dust cover but didn't install it yet because of the difference in the size of the chute to the size of my shopvac hose. The amount of shavings that I produced with the first job would have filled my shop vac twice or more and I have a big shop vac. It produces a ton of shavings. Very happy with purchase and would highly recommend it. June 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home Projects Planer The planer is being used to plane old cabin fir lumber to be used in the construction of doors. December 8, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Unsatisfied with planer, blades are poor quality Planer looks nice, well built, but blades can't cut hardwood, really disappointing April 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Don't second guess I struggled with the decission, makita or its nearest competitor. Well once I tried out my new planer I knew I made the right choice. Spend the extra money, you won't regret it. By the time you buy aftermarket cutters that are as hard as the makitas' you are nearly at the price January 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just another quality Makita tool! When choosing to get a planer, looked at a slightly cheaper brand and decided to go with the Makita and of course, was not disappointed. This planer is easy to use, solid and does a beautiful job. You can't go wrong with a Makita! August 4, 2015
