Answer:
Yes it does. The bevel adjustment is very awkward though. To bevel it right, you have to first tilt it back past 15 degrees left then push a button to go to the left of zero. There is also a lever to engage positive stops at 22.5 degrees.

No, 120-Volts is the output of a standard outlet in the United States. If you are looking to use the Makita 15-Amp 12 in. Dual Slide Compound Miter Saw with Laser and Stand (LS1216LX) in another region, we recommend you purchase this tool in the country/region in which you live.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Saw!!! I love the saw, but as I had read in other reviews, I found the manual to be sub par in terms of figuring the saw out. Fortunately, I have had similar saws in the past and was able to make things work, at least so far. I also was disappointed in the machining of the stand and its components which made it very trying of my patience while putting it together. The carton that I received the saw in was crushed on a corner, (another review that I had read also noted this), but fortunately the saw was not compromised. It could have been very easily. I even had it shipped to my local Home Depot store. The saw is good at what it does, but is not for a beginner to try and figure out. March 6, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw!!! Had for a month & love it, cuts come out pretty clean. I'm not to crazy about the stand, super heavy & you can forget about carrying that whole setup up a flight of stairs! April 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Love the versatility of this saw Slices through wood like butter. Very accurate. The extenders make cutting a true pleasure because I don't have to worry about the other side of the board flipping up February 26, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw, but a part was missing. The saw and stand are fantastic. The best I've worked with in a compound sliding mitre saw. May 8, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by So-So Miter Saw As a high end finish carpenter, I find this saw to be just ok after about a year. As far as the good goes, It has a ton of power and enormous cutting capacity. The stand is great for the most part and makes moving it around and loading and unloading really easy. There is nothing horrendously bad about this saw, but there are little things that will bug you. To start, the saw just doesn't feel very precise, probably because it isn't. My fence is slightly out of plane(only about a 64th but when you are doing fine finish, that is noticeable). Also the upper wings on the fence do not lock down as tightly as I would like. The lever that locks the lower potion of the slide rails stopped working almost immediately. The dust collection is a joke but it always is on any miter saw. The laser is alright but it isn't visible in bright light. The bevel adjustment is awkward and too time consuming for production work. If you do buy the saw, I would recommend loosening the bevel stops all the way so you can cut over 45 degrees. The extensions on the stand work but are flimsy. The manual is worthless, you honestly might as well throw it out. The worst thing about this was how poorly it shipped. The box with the saw itself was fine but the stand took a beating. There were bolts rolling around loose in the box and I actually had to bend a few pieces back into shape. I know a few people with the same saw or the ten inch version of it and everyone seems to have the same complaints. Overall, this saw would make a great framing saw because of the power and capacity, and as many small complaints as I may have, I recognize that I am highly critical and I can still manage to do an extremely high quality of work with it. If you buy this, it is not a total loss but I would recommend saving some money and buying a Hitachi 10" slider (there is a reason almost every trim carpenter uses one) or spending double the money and buying a Festool Kapex (which is possibly the best thought out tool I have ever used). Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw but weak laser Overall the quality of the product is good but the laser is not bright enough to use outside. March 20, 2012
