No Kidding - If cordless tools had race car rankings - Your lookin at Formula 1 class
Had to struggle with the power output and get control of trigger for the first couple weeks.
sent several screws WAY beyond where they needed to go!
after getting myself adjusted - BEST set I've ever had, and worth the $$
a bit heavy, but I'm used to heavy tool belt. impact driver took on 12" ledgerlocks no stopping
2 1/4" hole saw thru 8 2x4s and didn't slow down
If you are a pro - this ones for you!

This is my third purchase of Makita power tools and I'm as pleased as can be. The drill & impact certainly do not disappoint. My old 18V Makita impact (with brushes) Has the same torque figures but doesn't deliver the power as efficiently or as quickly. This impact will drive a lag bolt into a 2x4 incredibly fast. The batteries last a really long time as well and charge in 30 minutes or less. The only things I don't like is that the impact doesn't have a battery meter like the drill and the LED light doesn't stay on after releasing the trigger like the drill. Overall though, these tools are a great value for the money. Makita certainly knows what they're doing. They are after all the industry leader in 18 volt cordless power tools.

I started out with a standard makita combo set and kept buying more bare tools. The motors wore out from daily use in the drill so I upgraded to brushless. What a difference! I use the brushless impact daily for hours per day and it is a brute. I wouldn't waste my money on any other kit. Buy this set and never look back.

These drills simply work. They are workhorses and stand up to the task. The batteries last longer than any other I have used.

I have several brushless Makita drills. I can't tell the difference between the brush and the brush less tools. BUT, I can tell you the case is much smaller! Storing the maximum amount of tool in a standard pickup tool box the smaller size is a GREAT benefit! Adding quantity and quality together that's a real winner for me!

This drill and impact have more power than the brushed set and battery life is much longer than my older set. The small size and light weight is good and belt hook is very handy.

Lol I'm a carpenter for kinley corp. look us up if you want. We beat up our tools on a daily basis;'not because we want to. Makita is so far, the only set that lasts longer than the others. Granted we go through 1-2 sets every 2 years. Try that with another brand. We have! I was just on the site ready to buy another set and decided to do the review. So i would say if you want something comfortable and lasts; buy it. The only thing i dont like is that the batteries are larger than others witch makes the weight a little more than others. And the rubber trim falls off after a while. But oh well, were trying to get the job done not look pretty.

I use these everyday I am kinda hard on them the one thing that bothers me is the drill is weak it has no torque. When I have to buy again I will not buy the brushless. the screwgun is great though. Maybe ill just buy the non brushless drill separate and I'd be happy
