CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AMAZING I've work in construction for 7 year and have had plenty of drivers. Makita makes the BEST tools, better than dewalt, porter cable, Hitachi, Bosch, etc. impacts don't really get tested until they go throughout construction and a lot framing, this holds up to ever thing February 26, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Defective battery bought this for my husband brand new for Christmas and the battery it came with was defective. December 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Driver / held up well Bought this driver as a combu set with drill, 2 batteries and charger for 199. Built a 10 by 24 shed entirely with these 2 tools. They held up well. Had to charge every 1.5 hrs but that was under constant use ( or nearly) The batteries charged in 30 mins and ran strong again! The fan in the charger to keep the battery cool is a neat idea. The impact driver was consistent and strong. I love makita tools and had bought cheaper cordless drills the last 2, but glad to have makitas back.. they just feel better! November 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Makita Impact I used these Makita cordless impacts when I was a custom cabinet maker. I've always wanted to get one for personal use and finally did. Now that I have it I will never be without one. Well built, lightweight, compact and excels at driving larger hard to drive screws but gentle enough not to snap smaller screws. October 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Reliable We really needed extra batteries, but dollar for dollar, this was an excellent value. To get the batteries I needed, AND get another driver, was quite the bonus! June 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by strong and dependable the impact came with its own case and instructions. Very high quality September 30, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Battery Design - Short Life The tool itself provides plenty of torque, is comfortable and easy to use and maintain. The batteries, on the other hand, are HORRIBLE. They will discharge from the first available cell and then move to the remaining cells. This is OK, except the battery control chip in the battery doesn't switch to the next available cell quickly enough and the first cell is completely discharged. The chip then sees the first cell as faulty and locks the entire battery. It can't be unlocked. I even had one of the computer scientists I work with look at the chip and tell me my battery was now just a brick. Removing the chip would be of no use either because it monitors the cells and switches between them as necessary. I only used my driver for light household projects for a year when one of the batteries failed. Now I'm looking at my second Makita-battery-shaped doorstopper. PLEASE DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I'm looking into different brands now, but will check out their battery schematics before I buy again. September 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Less RPM but More TORQUE This is my fourth impact driver purchased over these last few years and by far it out performs my first impact (Hitachi) and second impact (DeWalt 18v) and third impact (DeWalt 20v Max). The DeWalt's have more RPM's but less torque. By design the Makita is lighter in overall weight and drives better and the 15 min battery charger is just amazing when your busy driving screws.
