Rated 5 out of 5 by A step up from your typical brad nailer I find you can typically expect Makita tools to be a step up from the competition in terms of comfort, feel, performance and durability - and this tool is no exception. So far I have tested it with 3 different size nails and it performed well. One note worth mentioning was that the actual regulated air compressor pressure changed nail depth more than the adjustment dial above the trigger on the actual gun. Just make sure you have enough regulated pressure coming out of the compressor and then dial in the exact depth on the gun's dial. I shot nails into pine, oak, maple, and poplar with no issues. The gun is constructed of top notch metals and materials for what I anticipate to be a long and productive lifespan. The Makita blue and aluminum finishes make this tool stand out compared to my other ugly yellow and black nailers, and also help for reduced weight. I really like the feel of this gun and glad I went with Makita. Now I'm interested to see how some of the larger Makita guns feel and perform. August 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great brad nailer I bought this last minute to replace an older (other brand) brad nailer that broke. I'm very pleased with it. Lightweight, comfortable, shoots 2" brads just as easily as it shoots 5/8 brads. I've used it to install a LOT of trim, and the unit never jammed once. The safety goggles were a nice extra. This nailer is a great addition to my other Makita tools !! September 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I like the compact design and high quality of Makita tools. I set the air pressure to 75psi and nailed oak quarter round trim to oak base board. It worked perfectly. Since this my 1st experience with a pneumatic nailer, I liked Home Depot's 90 day return policy. November 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by So far, so good Amateur diy'er, checked the Porter & Bostich models in store and they seemed kind of ... cheap, like the price. Figured I'd add a Makita to my tool kit since it was $10 bucks less. Only used it a few times doing trim, but love it. Seems less chintzy than the other brands in that price range. February 15, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by High quality - Nice Tool. Just getting to know the tool - zero misfires on 4 loads of Senco fasteners. Very solid - nice tip cover that does not warp out of position as you apply pressure or adjust position with the tip with pressure on the tool. May 11, 2012
