I have seen this saw in my local HD Rents department, however this may not be true of every HD or every HD Rents department. I would suggest contacting your local HD store & check with their rental department as selection by store/department may vary.

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great saw for the money good power starts easy, has alot of power for the size of the saw, i am impressed. i would recomend it. July 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Power 5-Stars across the board! Saw came reasonably packaged. Only assembly required is to secure the bar/chain to the saw body using two nuts (included) and an adjustment of the chain tension using a screwdriver (included). Saw also includes chain guard and small tool kit with the tools needed to adjust items like bar tension, spark plug removal and speed/oil adjustment. All the basic tools you need to keep it running like a champ. Instructions are easy to follow regarding operation, assembly, adjustment, etc. (in multiple languages). READ the instructions. Thinking "I know what I'm doing since I've owned a number of saws" I skipped the instructions ... initially. Managed to flood it the first time ... ooops. Time for a quick read & found out that the choke also advances the throttle for cold startup. Pulled the plug, cleared the cylinder & first pull it was running! Running: The saw has crisp throttle response and rev's quite high! Plenty of power to handle the pine trees I threw at it (up to 30" in diameter). The included blade was throwing chips fast & clean! Chain held an edge without sharpening for 4, 60' tall pine trees; from limbing to cutting it all up in 12" long rounds. By then, I was tired & the chain was starting to get dull from all the pitch on the trees. No issues with cold or hot starting of the saw. First or second pull each time. Chain adjustment is easy; loosen the two nuts & adjust the tension with the included screwdriver - re-tighten the nuts. Check the oil reservoir & cut away! Seems to get good fuel "mileage" I used just under 1/2 gallon of 50:1 fuel mixture & about the same amount of bar oil. Little to no vibration in the saw & it felt well balanced for operation. The compression release makes pull starting a little easier, though I didn't find a need since it is easy to pull. Cleanup: Access to air filter & dis assembly for cleaning was easy with the supplied tools. Clean operation: I chose to NOT mix my own fuel with this saw to give a real-life comparison of operation between this saw & my others that I mix my own fuel for. Since this saw was new, I chose to only run it with pre-mixed (engineeried) fuel available at Home Depot. After running about 1/2 gallon of this thru the saw, I pulled the plug to see the difference in the fuel. Plug looked like NEW! No black build-up like I normally find with 2-stroke motors. I also noticed a total lack of "blue smoke". Burnt clean, ran crisp and appears to be a big difference in quality operation. Worth the extra $$ to me! Chain: My only "complaint" is lack of 20" chain availability that fit this saw at my local Home Depot stores. I'll have to order online. This saw would also benefit from a 24" bar since there is plenty of power. At no point throughout the day did this saw 'lug down' while cutting. Final thoughts: Cut as good as any of my other 'professional' saws. Just as easy to fill (fuel/bar oil), adjust & use! November 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this saw! Works better than my Stihl saws. Thought it was going to be a gamble. This is a Dolmar and it rips and it's very reliable after 2 years December 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great saw that holds its own against thr competion Love the saw. Cuts great with no issues. I typically use Stihl saws (have 3) to cut firewood and went out on a "limb" to try this one. I couldn't be more happy. I use Makita power tools for work and have great success so I had faith this would be just as good. The only con I can say is that here in California this saw WILL NOT start if I follow the directions. Instead I don't choke it and I don't push the decompression button. I just pull the cord and it starts 2nd pull every time. March 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BEST CHAINSAW EVER. IT IS THE BEST. REALLY. PRICE WORTH EVERY PENNY. POWERFULL, RIGHT WEIGHT, EASY TO USE . ONE OF MY BEST OUTDOOR TOOLS EVER. January 30, 2015
