Answer:
These continuous rim diamond blades are used to cut masonry products and ceramic/porcelain tile. I believe they are best used with water running on the blade (wet saw) to keep the blade cool and to keep dust down to a minimum. I use mine for tile only.

Answer:
We do not recommend cutting concrete with a circular saw specifically engineered to cut wood. For concrete cutting applications, we recommend the 7.5 Amp 4-1/2 in. Corded Paddle Switch Grinder with Aluminum Case, Diamond Blade and Grinding Wheels (9557PBX1).

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good price but not the best cut. I spent a lot of time shopping for a diamond blade for my wet tile saw. This blade does cut quick and no issues in getting my blade to do L or thin cuts. But it left a rough edge. From what I can tell the blade is a little thicker than my original blade. The original blade was a Skill Saw and even though it ran out of cutting speed but still had a smooth edge. From looking at the blades the Skill Saw was thinner. See the images I have posted of the cuts. April 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Great on Tile Got this blade for my small portable tile saw as the original blade was severely worn down from much use. I have other Makita tools and have been very pleased with not only their performance but also durability. This blade works well and I anticipate it will last as long or longer than the original. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by makita diamond blade did great for irregular cuts of porcleain tile I used this blade successfully for a professional looking cut on porcleain tiles for my kitchen tile counter where sink went as well as other odd cuts that were L shaped, etc. No chipping of tile.
