Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JeryJer Works like a production screwdriver.
Product arrives in attractive carrying case with velcro to secure the charger and screwdriver. It also includes a belt-loop holster for on-the-job portability.
A short charge and I was in business. I was impressed with the speed in which I could remove and restore screws and get just the right amount of torque without over-tightening. This is in daily use and after a week, I have yet to had to re-charge the battery , unlike my $19.99 dollar special I have been using and replacing every year. The white gets dirty fast, as stated by other reviewers.I use it mostly in the "stick" position, so would a have appreciated a position lock, but all in all I call the Makita a winner!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by the2ndcoming Does what a samll impact should do.
This is not going to replace your 18v drill or even your 14,4 impact, but I have used in auto and on the construction site and it works flawlessy on medium -duty screws and bolts, I have dismantle entire car interiors with this and door hardware in a entire comercail buildings, the light weight makes it easy to cary like a flashlight in your pouches or back pocket. The baterry life is trully amazing I've hardly charge this thing if I do it's "just because" it's never died on me iat work with a fully charge battery. Very durable also has fallen out of my jacket countless times to story's below. The only flaw I didn't like with it was the color, its black after my 1st auto use.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by TomS Great, but don't expect too much power
I got this a while back thinking it could be a lightweight replacement for my smaller cordless drills, but it really isn't. This won't put a tapcon in concrete and it actually has kind of a hard time putting a 3 inch screw into solid wood.
That said I did really like it for smaller stuff...hanging pictures, putting up curtain rods, small craft type stuff. Perhaps THE best thing is the hammer action keeps the bit from slipping off a screw like a cordless drill would, which means you don't need nearly as much "down" pressure. The swivel feature is also really nice when you need to get into tight areas and the battery lasts quite a long time.
Overall, 3 stars. Great tool, but not a cordless drill replacement.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jenkins Very Useful For A Fleet Mechanic
A buddy of mine uses this tool every day on cars and pickups. Transmission oil pan bolts, rear end covers, interior screws and air filter housings and radiators etc. It keeps going. Very tough tool used in oily and dirty conditions. The white color is the only complaint. But that is cosmetic only. I want to get one for myself. I have a $10.00 one that is worthless made by some cheap tool brand. I have always loved Makita tools and envied anyone who owns them. This would be my first Makita tool that I think could get enough use out of.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BRITDOG This is a very handy screwdriver for work and home use
Great drill at a reasonable cost. I use it mostly for getting into remote areas inside cabinets, where I have to really stretch at arms length. I like the hammer feature a lot, the only two things I would like to see changed is 1) the light stays on when the switch is pressed and 2) I miss the adjustable speeds of the more expensive unit. If it lasts like my bigger Makita drills I will be well pleased.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ElectricalAndy Pound for pound, most powerful tool I ever used
This impact driver is so versatile, it can be used in almost all electrical applications. It is deceivingly powerful...it has as much power as drivers twice its size. I can work all day with just one fully charged battery. By far it is one of the best tools I ever used!

Light weight, battery last longer and charges fast, It has a light but hard to use because you have to put two buttons at the same time. Very nice package deal. Love the inpact drivers over a clutch any day.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Himiler It's become my "go to" driver.
This is great for repetitive task work especially when a lot of screws are involved. For electrical wall boxes and plugs, etc., production really takes off.
