Answer:
Yes, although stucco can have a mixed medium (metal, lathe) behind it, so you might want to explore to make sure you are only dealing with 1 material, and you know the depth of the cut you need to make. Just make sure you get the right grinder (masonry).

Answer:
I have not tried cutting stucco but I have cut a good amount of granite slab for counter tops. I would use a stone/masonary blade for your type of job. I always use a blade size matched for the machine, but since this is just a 4-1/2" blade, it might not be deep enough to cut your door opening all the way through.

Answer:
Yes, the Makita 4-1/2 in. Angle Grinder (9557NB) can cut through stucco with the appropriate diamond blade accessory. The appropriate blade to cut stucco would be the Makita 4-1/2 in. Turbo Rim General Purpose Diamond Blade (A-94552), and you can purchase those on the Home Depot website.

You will need to take in consideration, wiring or pipes in the wall you want to cut. Using a 7" diamond blade on a circular saw will cut deeper than using a grinder. Read Less

Bike frames? Heck yeah! Just need a cutoff wheel. If you want to use it safely, get a full-face shield and some heavy gloves. Ear protection is good too.

Hi JackNcoke, yes you can use a a cut off wheel. A lot of cutoff wheels are 7/8" diameter, you will need the 7/8" flange nut side to face the cut off wheel. Go into your local Home Depot tool department and have an associate show you how to mount a cut off wheel.
The arbor on this model is 5/8" diameter.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for a novice working on stone Just spent my first day using a diamond saw on this to cut a basin in a large rock. My confidence that this was the right choice was bolstered by the other reviews. This is my first time using an angle grinder and so far, so good. The grinder is easy to manipulate. Installing the blade was simple, although the manual takes a few reads to make sure you've put everything on the right way. Even with all my protective eye/face gear, the blade is easy to track. The grinder is sturdy but light enough for comfortable work. I'll check in later about durability, but so far I am very happy with this choice. July 12, 2016
