Answer:
I would cut no deeper than 1/2" on each cut. Keeps blade from getting too hot, which will extend life.

Answer:
Should be able to cut all the way through in one pass. Wear safety goggles, a mask and ear plugs though. This thing kicks up all kinds of mess and makes a heck of a noise!

Wet or dry cut?

Many diamond blades say on the label: "Wet cut" or "Dry Cutting Blade".
Can this blade be used wet or dry? I'm using a 7 1/4" Porter Cable circular saw to cut through a block wall from both sides. I've found with other diamond blades that running a 1/4" tube of low pressure water to the cut cools the blade making faster cuts and longer blade life. Does this blade care if water is used?

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cutting Red Bricks I used this blade in a tile saw, wet cutting standard red bricks. The thickness of the bricks, 2 1/4" maxxed out the saw. I had a big project and cut a lot of bricks, the blade lasted 5 or 6 days and still works OK but did NOT cut like butter or like cutting wood as others stated when cutting different materials. It worked OK but struggled slightly. I also bought a similar blade, an Avanti at half the price, $16. It lasted two days but cut equally well before wearing out. Both blades performed equally well but not spectacular. This blade cuts just as well as the less expensive blade but lasted longer. If you have a big project buy this blade, a smaller project, buy the less expensive Avanti at half the price. July 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cuts like Butter! This blade allowed me to turn my table saw into a brick cutting machine! I was able to make very precise cuts at angles and straight on with no issues whatsoever. It was only slightly slower than cutting wood with a normal saw blade. Take a look at the video to see what this blade can do! September 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent buy. This Saw Blade with diamond cut worked perfectly. It cut nice and clean and very fast. It didn't take long to cut through 8 -16"x16" patio tiles. September 1, 2015
