This is a great set. I can easily transport this in my tool bag without missing the space it takes. Just wish HD sold the Makita deep sockets as well. I wouldn't be caught in the field without it. Great for installing and removing electrical signs.

Didn't think I'd need the 15 degree tilt, but second time I pulled out this set, it sure came in handy. They're impact sockets. They fit on the end of that blue impact wrench that came with your blue cordless drill. They work good. If you're looking at them and reading the review's, then you want/need them and might as well just click the "add to cart" button. Otherwise you'll be thinking of this review the next time you bang up your hand when the cheater bar/crescent wrench thing you rigged up slips on all that penetrating oil you sprayed on that stubborn bolt.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DennisJ Great Socket Set, Must Have!
If there's one thing that I despise, are ill fitting tools. The wrench or socket that doesn't fit snuggly and offers a likely chance of rounding off the heads. This isn't the case with this socket set. I tried several bolts and nuts and these sockets fit nicely. No sloppiness here.
I used them with my cordless impact and my pneumatic both. Nothing negative to report here. The attachment allows you to quickly and easily use the sockets with your 1/4" cordless impact and positioning the socket one way allows for a 15 degree tilt, giving you access to places you couldn't get to before. Removing the socket and repositioning it will give the tradional "straight on" fit. Either way, it's not a sloppy fit. This will be my "go to" socket set.
This is a very solid socket set and will be a great addition to your tool collection.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Homeowner A good alternative to cheaper impact sets
There's not much you can say about impact wrench sockets except that (1) they look well made and (2) they work just fine. Only long use will tell how well-tempered they are, or how strong their base CrMo steel alloy actually is. Their Japanese Makita brand name and Taiwanese origin inspires more confidence than most of the alternative mainland Chinese-made sets that are sold, only slightly cheaper, under a host of "off-brand names". The genuine USA-made stuff, alas, either has to be carefully hunted down, piece-by-piece, on the used market these days... or purchased for many, many times the price of these.

My only issue is that the sockets fall out too easily.
