I bought the 8 pcs kit along with 5 additional path lights and 2 splice connectors. It took solid 20-30 minutes to learn how to properly connect the fixtures to the wire and after that it took me less than 2 hours to connect and install all 11 path lights and 2 flood lights using the two connectors to split.
Looks great on my yard (see attached pictures) and working for last 3 weeks. Now let us see how long they continue to work.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Robust Starter Kit
I was tired of solar lights having to be replaced every six months and this fit the bill! Comes with everything you need in the box to install right away. Installation was easy and nothing any DIY'er cant accomplish. The kit comes with a 150 watt power pack... with all the lights in the kit connected they used just over 107 watts on my watt meter, so if you wanted you could add an extra path-light or spotlight and still be with-in the rated limit. I personally purchased LED replacement bulbs from an online auction website so I could add even more lights. After switching all fixtures to LED bulbs, and adding two path-lights and two spot lights I was consuming about 38 watts total. throughout all 12 fixtures (awesome!)
The path-lights are indeed metal, but THIN metal. Plastic would has been upgrade for the path-lights for strength purposes. The spot lights were awesome, very durable heavy metal. The power pack seems good enough, except I wish it had a timer feature that was triggered by hours in the day instead of ONLY having a light sensor timer.
Definitely a great starter kit with the best(in my opinion) bang for the buck for whats in the box.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LRC3404 Great, exactly what I wanted...
These lights are exactly what I wanted. We didn't want our house lit up light a x-mas tree, just a subtle glow along the pathway and these fit the bill. We pair this kit with three sets of motion lights, on the porch, garage, and corner of the driveway so bright lighting was not what was were looking for.
Fairly easy to install, you just have to get the connectors lines up properly and your good.
The spot light stakes are GREAT there metal, but path lanterns stakes STINK. But I have a great solution, over in the plumbing section grab a 1' pole of the gray water pipe, i believe its sold in 12 ft lengths, costs a whole $3, cut it down to 8' with a simple hacksaw, it cuts like butter. Drive those into the ground FIRST, get it about 3/4 ways down and pull it up clear the dirt out of it and finish pounding in the ground. The 1' tubing fits perfect around the stake.
I still managed to break 2, but here's the cool part even if you do break them dig it up flip it over and put the base right into the pipe and your good, money.

Surprisingly easy to install. The step-down low voltage box is a newer type that essentially is "fool proof", and I like the fact that it has a "dusk to dawn" sensor you can put on for 4, 6 or 8 hours. The entire job from unpacking the box to walking away from the completed installation was extremely easy and the lights look very classy and professional. I would recommend these lights to anyone....even those that think they are mechanically challenged.

The lights were easy to assemble and connect to the cable provided. My house can easily be identified at night. Very nice curb appeal. Neighbors are jealous!

I had to return 3 of 8 lights within the first 3 days. A week later I had to return a 4th, and to my surprise one of the broken lights I returned was back on the shelf! They keep breaking at the stake, which is cheap plastic. The same manufacturer has better quality lights that don't cost too much more. If anything buy a light with a metal stake. They do look nice, just not durable. I'll be surprised if they last a year.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by tallguy Nice lights... bad stakes
The stakes are the big liability with these lights. Broke one installing them. Two broke in the first week. Then needed to move one, broke that stake... and by this time I was being gentle. Clearly there is a design/manufacturing problem. No problem.. just buy more stakes. It was a nice thought... good luck with that.
Oh, its been 2 mos, one bulb is out. Replacement bulb got it working, but they aren't cheap. But at least I can find them.

Great lights. Much better than solar. Lights have handled plenty of years of diverse Texas weather.
