I can't comment on this lights longevity or build quality, as I didn't keep it setup longer than one evening. Our complaint with this light is the placement of the bulb. The bulb is at the base of the globe housing. The globe is clear glass. So, when the light is on there is nothing defusing the light. It's bright and it's right there. When you look at the lamp you look directly into the LED bulb. As you walk down the path the light glares up at you from the lamp and not down/around as you would expect a path light to do. The best example I can think of would be similar to taking a flashlight and sticking it in the ground with the lens up. Its too bad as the design of the lamp itself was pleasing. Very poor design for a path light in our opinion.

The lights are nice looking but are not easy to assemble. It is not because they are complicated but poor craftsmanship. I purchased a total of 7 of these. Consistently they were very difficult to assemble because of the threads where they screw together. At first I consistently cross threaded them and eventually figured out if I put a little WD40 on the threads that I could get them to screw together. Just use some sort of lubricant on the threads and it will save you a lot of time. Once they are put together they look very nice. They put off a good deal of light for lighting up the driveway and sidewalk.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Exactly what we wanted. The longer stems allow more light above our plants.
The LED lights won't burn out and the glass protectors can be removed and put into the dishwasher.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ROBB One of the best low voltage lights on the market. Great value for the money.
The Kristi Collection Low Voltage LED Pathway Lights are an excellent way to line a driveway and have a nicely lighted perimeter around the landscaping. It is aa great value for the money.

As several other have stated, the design is poor. The threads of the plastic stake do not match the threads of the shaft. You have to do some work on your own and some jury rigging to make them thread properly and you may still have some that cross thread. Called Malibu customer service and nicely asked for advice and the rep told me he had been with the company for years and this was the first complaint he's had or heard of with the Kristi. Can not honestly give them any more than one star due to the indifference and attitude of the Malibu customer service rep. Would not recommend these unless Malibu corrects the design flaw.

These lights look good but do not last long. The led bulbs in them burned out in a few weeks. As far as I can tell they are not replaceable. Went to the manufactures web site and no replacements are available. I bought a dozen of these in the spring and three are already blown out.

I only purchased a couple of these to put on side of house because the design, with the LED pointing upward in the clear glass fixture, causes too much glare. I instead purchased several Model # 8401-9203-01 tiered lights because the white glass fixture provides a much softer light while still illuminating the surrounding plants. The reason I used the Kristi lights at all was that they do provide a little more light upward than the tiered fixture which gives a bit more illumination. Everything is working fine for the first 2 months including the photo cell for turning the lights on at dusk. I recommend testing out various lights using a temporary setup...hook cable to power supply (or use some leftover lamp wire), attach alligator clips to the other end of the cable, and hook the alligator clips to the lamp terminals. The alligator clips make it easy to quickly connect and disconnect each light fixture. I tried several fixtures before purchasing the final set to be installed.

These lights look like they are really good quality. Typically of Malibu product they have a lot of issues. The material they are made of is not the best. The threads on the pipes do not go together easily and I had trouble with the tops staying on. the connecting cable is too short and forces you to loop cable to their location( waste of cable). The light they emit is better than regular non LED lights with less wattage.
