Nice out of the box easy to install.
They weather badly the sun is bad on these. The solar panes fog up and still function. The batteries have to be changed with better rechargeables. Water gets in and corrodes the battery contacts

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DaddyDart Looks good . Easy to install.
I installed the lights on brick columns beside my driveway. I used a masonry bit. The screws and plastic anchors furnished with the kit worked great.
I think they look really nice.

Didn't buy these from Amazon but need to get the word out. First, let me say that I installed these on the 4x4 upright posts connecting the fence panels - don't do this - the light washes almost entirely on the post not lighting the fence (unless that's the look you want). I relocated them to the upper center of the fence panel and when the ones that worked lit up, they washed the fence panel nicely - BUT not enough light, just not enough lumens. I bought 10, have given the lights 7 days - 3 with full sun most of the day, one day of rain, other days were partly cloudy/sunny. Two lights have never turned on (until you hold them in your hand and cover the solar panel). Dim light at best, most still shining dimly after 2 hours but all were out last night after 4 hours. These are going back.

The lights install very easily with the provided screw placement template. The AA NiCad batteries included will give you about two months of use - plan to replace them with a better quality battery, such as an Energizer. The appearance of the black metal cover will be a chalky and gray after a 6 months - if you want them to look good, clear coat them before you install them. They do not charge the battery for a full night of illumination during the winter months. even after a sunny day. They charge the batteries during the summer months just fine, even on a partly cloudy day, to last the entire night. I cannot complain too much, these are $19 for a set of two. Probably would fair better by storing them during the winter months.

Recently purchased two sets as accent lights on driveway entrance fence posts. a
All worked as expected, putting out sufficient light for accenting posts they are attached to. Very please with how they look Easy to install on flat surfaces. Plan to purchase another set for another fence. well worth the cost.

Very disappointing product. I mounted these lights as directed on my wooden privacy fence. The solar panel requires direct, intense sunlight for several hours daily in order to function. Even so, when fully charged, the light given off is practically useless. It's a dim light shining downward with an illumination area of about the size of a sheet of typing paper. If all you want is to know where your fence is located at the back of your property, this may be the product for you. If you want real LIGHTING, forget it.
