Rated 1 out of 5Â by carlo Horrible and very expensive.
Like many others, I spent nearly a thousand dollars on expensive LED Malibu low volt lights only to have most of them fail within 1-2 years. I have had to replace most at $20-30 a piece which is crazy for LED.
After a year of replacing them (since HD warranty is only 3 mos and Malibu is worthless) I took them apart and found that the capacitors are going bad and are damaged or leaking which is likely the problem.
I would not recommend anyone purchase these as they will inevitably fail and you will be stuck with an expensive piece of metal.

I purchased 25 0f these lights in June of 2013.In May of 2014 they started going out. By the end of July 2014 ,12 lights were not working. I replaced 4 @ $30 a piece. I now have 9 not working. Home Depot says they are over 3 months old, call Malibu. Malibu says SO?. I am out $900 and do you think they care? These are a piece of junk and nobody will do anything. DO NOT waste your money on these lights.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Deedee Great looking but not durable
These lights line my driveway. They look great, are energy efficient and reasonably-priced. The problem I've experienced with them, however, is that they don't hold up well. I have had to return quite a number of them for replacements. I hired an electrician to install the initial underground wiring, but since then, I've installed the replacement lights myself. This is fairly simple to do, but the prong-clip that attaches to that underground wire is a bit tricky to maneuver. The prongs have to puncture the wire just right, and they have to be squeezed down tight with a channel-lock plyers, or the light won't stay on. Once they work, they really do look good. They're just aggravating to constantly replace.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Scot They simply do not last
This is not a well designed product at all. I bought over 30 of them and they are failing at a very high rate at less than 6 months old. The reason, simple....they are not sealed and, therefore, moisture from the ground / grass can easily get to the electronics and corrosion does the rest! I live in San Diego and while it does not rain much here, this is still a problem.
HD is great. they take them back but Mailbu will not even answer a phone call. One cannot complain about their customer service as there is none.
The solution to the problem is actually simple. Buy a can of insulation foam from Home Depot and, simply fill up the bottom of the unit so that no moisture can get to the electronics. I have not had any fail that I have done this with. The connections are another problem area as they too corrode and they are difficult to fix.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Robert Awesome Malibu Lights!
The light was easy to assemble, the light is as bright as traditional lights, it uses very little energy. Visually you cannot tell the difference between these lights and traditional ones. Also, I would would recommend them if the last lights on your line are dim. I would recommend this light to others.
