These lights are just right. I wasn't looking for a bright security light, just something to light up the driveway and garage door while you look for your keys. I didn't like any of the available under-eave lights or wall lights that shined out more than down. So I turned a little plastic bottle into a light base, and it covers where the wire goes thru a hole into the garage.
And the LED lights work great, even in our sub-zero weather. They are connected to a light-sensitive transformer mounted inside the garage next to a window. On at dusk - off at dawn. Perfect.

Perfect lighting for around the pool deck. Just enough light to see the deck and still maintain the atmosphere of the pool surroundings. Also, since these fixtures point down, the light did not compete with the in-pool lighting.
Theses fixtures are very easy to both assemble, and install in the river rock around the pool area. Also, every connector worked perfectly the first time. (No remove and reconnects needed)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jude We love these new walkway lights.
My husband and I live in a contemporary home. Its built into a hill with steep steps. Lighting the walkway is a must. The lights we had in place were 15 years old, and shot. We looked at several stores for a replacement, but could not find contemporary lines that we liked, until we found these. And they are brighter and more efficient. We just stained the deck dark brown, so the color worked well.
We couldn't wait until dark to turn them on. We think they look great! We actually saw them in the store display, but there were not enough on the shelf, so the clerk checked for us and told us to go online. I did, it was so easy, I just typed the model number into the search box, and we had them in a few days. And the new ones, had the same electric plugs, so they snapped right in to the existing wires. Life is good!

This was a great selection. only issue is the cable is only about 6 inches long. you would expect at least 2 feet. The light is great it is cool to the touch and not hot like the other lawn lights. well worth the extra cost.

I bought this light as a backup for the 11 I have already installed in case this model became unavailable and I had a failure.
Well, after almost 5 years of nightly use the 11 I have installed have exhibited no failures.
They are looking as good as the day I installed them.
I hope they don't discontinue this model- don't mess with perfection.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ChiefEngr Great lights! Bright, low power, and very easy to install.
We replaced a 10 year old set of 20 incandescent lamps with these -- it took about 90 minutes to remove the old and install the new (using the existing wire). They're much brighter, use significantly less power, and don't suffer from the "lamps get dimmer the further you are from the power pack" problem that the higher power consuming bulbs did. We're very pleased with the look and impressed with the quality and brightness of the light.
One reviewer complained that the plastic stakes were hard to insert into the lamp bases due to both being "ribbed" and requiring excessive force. **THIS IS NOT CORRECT** Those aren't ribs -- they're screw threads. The stakes _screw_ into base of the lamp and it is quite easy to do. I suggest that you screw the stake onto the bottom section of the lamp pole *before* you assemble the pole itself so that you don't end up twisting the wire. Just hold the stake and turn the pole section and then assemble the stake.
Another reviewer complained about having broken a stake and not being able to find a replacement. Go to Malibu's website -- they can get you a replacement.
I have one suggestion to assist you in getting the stakes into the ground. Using a mallet (so as not to damage the handle), drive a large screwdriver into the ground where you want to place the lamp and then wiggle and move the handle in a circular motion (not twisting, make a circle) to widen the hole to a conical shape before removing the screwdriver. Then, fill the cone with water, insert the stake, and push it on down. Makes it quite easy and lets you know early on if there is a rock in the way.
