Within 24 hrs. they've collected water inside the light sections. Shouldn't they be water tight? Is this normal and will it reduce the durability of the lights?

Answer:
They should be water-tight, but are not! Once water gets into them, they die soon thereafter. I get replacements (under the 2 year warranty) and put clear silicon caulk all along the joint where the clear plastic meets the black plastic base and all around the black plastic end caps. That seems to work.

Answer:
The lights should be sealed and if it is just a minimal amount of moisture then that should dry up once the sun comes out. Please keep an eye on your lights and see if the amount of water increases or if you start noticing that they are not functioning properly. If that is the case then call our customer service department at 1-888-295-7348 for assistance.

Answer:
Hope you have an unobstructed path. NO plants, it must get direct sunlight. It will start out bright yellow. After a day or two it may get weak and be barely helpful. .

Customer Reviews

Oil Rubbed Bronze LED Solar Pathway Light Bar is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from decent product, poor solar charge While the product looks impressive once installed, the lighting display is similar in appearance to what you'd see at the airport on the tarmac. Even on a sunny day, the lights do not all charge the same so some are dimmer than others (even when in full sun) and some never charged.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible ...don't waste your money I bought five of these to lights a wall and walkway. I live in Florida and these lights received all day sun nearly everyday. They are lucky to last 3 or 4 hours of light and the light is poor at best. I have other brands of LED lights that last 8 to 12 hours of bright light....and these don't stack up at all. They look nice but that is the only positive thing I could say. I wish I could return them but I tossed the boxes. Don't buy... you will be disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad design?? Weak lighting, Plastic case is snaps and two screws. On/Off switch is exposed to the elements, needs cover. A design change would be, make the LED lights 90' from the solar charger. If one has plants next to sidewalk, its hard to charge the battery. Place the solar cell aiming towards the sky. Glad I only bought one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good afterall Should have waited longer. Wrote a review after only 24 hours. Now after a week, these lights are very poor. They do not shine for more than an hour. Tried several positions to expose them to more sunlight, nothing has worked. Now a couple of them have moisture on the inside of the glass. I should have read the previous reviews before buying. These are going back to HD tomorrow.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK Light for the money The only bad thing I can say is that this light is good, but I feel it would be better if the light was a wee bit brighter. It does fog up after a rain or if gets cool at night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect for the need I needed a light to fit a difficult step configuration that would also be bright enough to make traveling up or down safe. This fits like it was part of the original plan and also blends in with the other surrounding decor for the outside. I will probably get two more after the holiday shopping is done. Thanks for having it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the best design So far the batteries are holding a good charge and the panel charges them quickly. Why a two star rating? If you want the lights to light the walk way, you have to point them at the walkway and the solar panel does not receive enough light. If you want the panel to charge, you have to point it up and the light goes up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Only lasts about 6 months These solar light bars are NOT waterproof! Rain will get into them and then they won't work anymore. Also, after about a week or so, if they come on at 8 p.m., they go completely dark at around 3 a.m. Squirrels love to eat the plastic end caps and they break the clear plastic lens which destroys them.
