This would be a wise, inexpensive purchase if you're using some of the landscape lighting that come with those other lights - some come with plastic. I checked reviews for some of the lighting fixtures for landscaping our outdoor walkway and some come with plastic and are very fragile according to other reviewers. Hope this is helpful. Read Less

The stakes I have now are plastic, the problem is the stem fits inside a metal stem that the wires are fed through, my dog hits them and the plastic tip breaks off. Will these new stakes work with what I have?

Answer:
Don't worry about the size threads. The metal light post (without threads) will screw into the stakes. Just tight enough to be self threading.

Walk Light Replacement Stakes (2-Pack) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks like they won't fit but they work great! Panicked at first because the old plastic ones were thinner and went inside the shaft. These fit on the outside and are a MUCH better design. I was expecting cheap metal but these will withstand a heavy hammer into hard clay. I will be buying enought to replace ALL of my plastic stakes (helpers snap those plastic ones when they mulch)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As good as it gets! Searched all over for replacement stakes for my Malibu walk lights. This style does have a tendency to snap off between the stake and the thread, but these replacement stakes are the best that you can currently find. These are metal rather than plastic so they are pretty sturdy. I had to order 2 brand new replacements lights and they now ship you PLASTIC stakes which snapped off the second they touched angel soft dirt. My other metal stakes are 10 years old and still going strong, and they look identical to these so I am expecting the same. A couple bucks a stake seems like a fair price if they do last 10+ years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Metal stakes rather than plastic I ordered these to replace the plastic stakes I believed were on the LED lights; however, LED lights came with the better stakes - not plastic but metal, so didn't need. Some landscape lights come with plastic stakes; but to my surprise, the LED lights I purchased came with these metal stakes, so returned as not needed. If you choose one of the other lighting fixtures that are plastic, this would be a wise investment because other reviewers had problems with breakage of the plastic one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Replacement Although the online description did not specify, this stake is metal. It works perfectly to hold the walk lights. I wish that Malbu would include these type of stakes originally!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great replacement stakes. These stakes are great replacements for the older kind the go up the center of the light. Those break off easily. These are much more sturdy. I haven't had one break yet.
