Product Overview

Designed and built in Germany with highest standards for safety and quality, Synergy 370 is the first residential garage door operator system that offers integrated LED lighting. Not only is LED lighting very energy efficient but with a life expectancy of over 30,000 hours you will never have to replace a burnt-out light bulb in your garage door operator again. An integrated battery back-up system ensures that you can open and close your garage door in case of a power outage. As an additional benefit, the LED lights of the Synergy 370 will continue to work when the opener is running on battery power. Synergy offers programmable door travel speeds up to 9.3 in. per second and can be set separately for the up and down travel cycles. An integrated LCD display guides you through the simple 3-step programming sequence while the Synergy 370 automatically calculates and maintains the force and sensitivity levels required to open and close your garage door. Yes, the Mercedes vehicle with Homelink installed will program to the Marantec Synergy 370. Your 2012 Mazda may or may not have Homelink in it. Please confirm with your vehicle manufacturer that your Mazda vehicle has Homelink and not LearCar2U in it. As long as it is Homelink then it will program to the S370. When following the Homelink instructions, when it asks about a "Learn or Smart" button you will press the active button on the Marantec remote to program it to the vehicle. There is no "Learn or Smart" button on Marantec products, use the "active" button on the remote to program it to your car. You can visit homelink.com for programming video's if needed. Read Less

Answer:
Yes, all Marantec Synergy operators (including S370) are Homelink compatible. However, there are some vehicles that have LearCar2U in them (similar service as Homelink). Marantec products are not LearCar2U compatible. Please visit the LearCar2U website and check their vehicle list to verify if your vehicle in on there.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome opener! I installed this about a year ago. The old original one that came with house was pretty beat up and seemed to really be working hard to open door. Pulled old and installed this Synergy opener. What a difference! Opens door, no problem. And very quite. In the house, you can't even hear garage door open! Remotes are slick. Exterior keypad is a nice touch. Highly recommend. May 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice garage door openers I have a low overhead clearance and this model was easily mounted to clear the door. April 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by European design is a little strange, but works very well. This unit does have a very European feel to it. That is usually both good and bad. It is very efficient in design, but that can sometimes seem less rugged than I am used to. The biggest issue I ran into with this unit is due to being a replacement, rather than a brand new garage install, and on a very high ceiling garage. The opener mounts to the track. Then the track is mounted. This is backwards of openers I have dealt with, where the opener mounts to the ceiling and the trace mounts to the opener (see photo). I was able to bend my existing mount point forward around 15 degrees and extend it slightly to mount onto the track. Unlike the very rigid, one piece steel T channel track that I replaced, this was pretty flimsy. Driving our old and heavy door, it flexed more than I was comfortable with. I added a mid span link up to the ceiling and the flexing disappeared (see photo). The design is very power efficient. Light is provided by LED lamps on each side (see photo). These seem to light up the garage almost as well as a 40 watt bulb. It shoots light up more than my previous one did, and this would work on typical European low ceilings. However, this light just is lost on our 10 feet ceilings. It is more than enough light to make your way in, so it is functional enough. I was disappointed in the remote keypad. I was hoping for a wired design that would not need maintenance. This is essentially a radio opener that transmits after you hit the code. You actually program it by pointing a functioning opener at two placed near the keypad. While it does make installation easier, it means that I will have to periodically check if the batteries are still good on it. Since the keypad is meant for a "locked out of the house" situation. When you need the keypad to work and not be dead. The other part is that the silver color with the logo on it is pretty gaudy. I will be painting over it with house paint, because it just looks bad. I am entertained by the magnet design for the cover. It is held closed with magnets and when you push it up, it almost feels spring loaded as it sucks up to the other magnets. (see photos for open and closed states) The house buttons include lock, light, and open close. It implements these features with some resistors and a diode. This means that you can use an existing 2 wire cable already installed to a simple push button switch. The only catch is that you have to identify the wires. My old cable had no polarity markings. I hooked a battery to one end and used a voltmeter to find the correct wires for connecting. This opener is VERY quiet. It has a slow easy start and stop. There is much less shaking and force on our old door and I believe that it will help it last much longer than it would have otherwise. The battery backup is nice. I pulled the plug and worked the opener a few times. It is a little over half speed, compared to AC power. That is fine with me. Opening in a power out event is great, regardless of speed. While to took some getting used to the differences of this, compared with traditional (and old) American openers, we really have liked it. October 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super quiet operation Extremely satisfied with how quiet our garage door operates now. We had a 30 year old opener you could hear from across the house, and now we can't even hear the garage door operating from the next room. This was a time consuming project, it took my husband about 6 hours to install (including running the wires for the opener and lasers). The instructions might be a little difficult to compare to your system if you have a low clearance door because where they want you to install the end of the track is right where your springs probably are. We just went right above our springs and it works beautifully. FYI this would be a very difficult project for a beginner, I would recommend you get help from someone with at least basic construction skills. Love the included backup battery. We live in the country and power outages are somewhat common and I hate having to manually open my door to get my car out for work. This will be a huge bonus for me. The LED lights are bright, and it's nice to be able to turn the light on manually from the keypad. Comes with two remotes for your cars and a wireless keypad (battery operated). The laser safety mechanism was not a pain at all to install and works quite well to the amusement of our dogs. The door moves fairly slowly, but definitely slows down a bunch the last 6 inches when closing for a very soft and quiet close. Seems very well made (it's from Germany) and am hoping it lasts us years. July 29, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product, with one exception APPEARANCE: Nice white motor box with side panels of covered LED light. Looks good overall, and they have some nice hardware setup that allows you to hide the wires for view for the most part. They instructions don't call this out, but you can feed the motion detector and opener wires through the body of the motor so they aren't hanging, and you don't have to cut the wires down to size, just wrap the excess into the body. ELECTRONICS: Simple controls, {P, +, -) with a clear display. Setup is three straight forward steps. Had some issues with the setup, and it gave a code that was easy to look up in the manual and diagnose. NOISE LEVEL: Very quiet, noticeable improvement over my old opener. Unit accelerated and decelerates a couple seconds before it reaches the top or bottom and comes gently to a rest, not crashing to a halt. ACCESSORIES: Remote openers are small and easy to set up. Motion detectors have nice little lights on the top to let you know they are functioning, and blink when they are obstructed. Keypad and inside wall units are solid and look good. INSTALLATION: Not an easy one person job. The hardest part for me was trying to keep the unit elevated so I could attach it to the joists in my ceiling. Make sure you tie the bar to the joist so it can't fall to the floor unless you have someone to hold it. It is doable though, you have to be patient. Make sure your connector is in the right spot (more below.) INSTRUCTIONS: Overall good, but I had a very difficult issue with a seeming omission that caused me a lot of grief. The drive belt connector was on the wrong side of the bar (up against the sprocket.) Since the connector cannot get past the sprocket, this meant the door could not open. Unfortunately this was not covered in the instructions. It also wasn't apparent until the unit was installed and I operational. I added a video of the issue to YouTube (part 3), check before you install. CUSTOMER SERVICE: I emailed Marantec customer service, asking for clarification if the above issue was with the instructions, or perhaps I missed something. Their answer was polite, but not at all useful, and offered no additional info. They did say they would forward the issue to engineering. July 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality is worth paying for. I did have friend who has experience installing garage door openers do the install. He said different than other manufacturers, but the quality of the equipment is superb. It looks great in our garage and operates very quietly! Comparing it to the older opener on the other door, the Synergy is much quieter and smoother, and only a little slower in opening and closing. Worth the trade off. Very well made product. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The good, The Bad, and the Ugly There was a marentech opener on my garage when I bought my house. After about 7 years my unit died due to a power surge, despite the lifetime warranty, it was not covered. I replaced the power head for about the same cost of a direct screw drive competitor installed. So I would offer that electronics and features come with a potential cost. The unit is quieter than any other garage door opener I have ever owned. Yesterday the power head died. I will be calling the local authorized dealer to see what they can do. Will they tell me that the warranty will cover it, or will they find another reason not to back the warranty? Who knows? The good, Quiet and seeming huge warranty..(The warranty did not work so good the first time) No lubrication needed .. Belt is Kevlar .. look at the warranty and pray for me. and they finally re engineered the remotes, old ones would break apart and required tape to keep them in one piece. The Bad .. Two broken down units in 13 years? Durability is questionable. The Ugly.. Really Really expensive (note for that cost they should be backing the warranty) September 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent door opener Excellent garage door opener. Only con I have is for the owner's installation manual. I would give the manual only a 3 out of a 5! Over the years I have installed around 8 to 10 garage door openers. This is the first time I had to contact the manufacturer for instructions in order to complete the installation. May 12, 2015
