Customer Reviews

Vacuum Sander with 6 ft. Hose is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 92.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good. The assembly was easy, but the sanding is no good. When you sand with this, it leaves long visible lines that have to be sanded out, so that defeats the purpose of the vacuum sander.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sheetrock dustless With a good vacuum this thing is awesome no dust at all and did the job right the first time. Will worth it to use. Little elbow grease and your done when you set it down.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good thought, execution could use a bit of work. This tool really seems like a good idea, but when I got it out of the box it seemed kinda hokey. The attachment hose isn't really connected well to it and would pop off randomly. I eventually just went back to using a regular hand sander and just holding the vacuum head below it to capture the dust.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I give it a mixed review. This is a great idea and a pretty good product. However, the manufact... I give it a mixed review. This is a great idea and a pretty good product. However, the manufacturer fails to tell you that you will have to stop and clean the filter in your shop vac every couple of minutes. Yes, every 2-3 minutes! When the filter gets clogged up, the suction drops and the dust goes into the air instead of into the shop vac. It's frustrating. It would be faster to sand the old fashioned way and do one clean-up at the end of the day. I understand that this problem can be avoided by using a dust collection bag in your vac instead of a filter, but nobody tells you that when you buy this tool. I haven't tried the bags yet. The suction in the tool (when it works) helps keep the tool on the wall. It does sand pretty well. This tool gave me the best results of any of my other drywall projects. You have to use sanding screen, not sandpaper, or you might as well shut off the vac and sand the traditional way. I recommend that you use screen that's 100 grit or coarser. Otherwise, you could spend the rest of your life on one project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sheetrock Sander Worked great. Your shop vac should be one that you cam use for sheetrock dust or the exhaust will blow alot of the dust back into the room

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works well with good shop vac & filter Hooked it up to 14 gallon 6.5 peak HP shop vac with liner and really good filter, did not have much sanding dust. I used to do the first passes and knock down the higher bumps and ridges and then switched to a sanding sponge because the 120 grit sanding mesh was leaving some small grooves/lines. I was doing a flat wall finsh (no texture) so needed it smooth. Maybe a finer grit or sanding mesh that was more wore out would have helped. I have a bunch more to do so will experiment with other sanding mesh to see if I can further reduce the use of a sanding sponge. It was sometimes a big awkward to manuever. I was happy with the product, it did reduce the sanding dust.
