Answer:
This won't dry clear (it's grey). Also, I would suggest painting the magnetic layers first, then going over with the chalkboard paint. I think if you do the chalkboard paint first then go over with the magnetic paint, you wouldn't be able to write on the chalkboard.

Answer:
Howdy Lisa,
A 4 ounce container of paint will cover about 3.5 sq. ft.
However since you need to put 2-3 coats, this will be about 1/2 to 1/3 of that area.
Happy Painting,
Coach Dave

Rated 1.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Works, just not as well as I wished; I used this to create my own magnetic board for photos. I originally purchased one container hoping it would be enough to work properly on a 18x24 surface. I ended up purchasing four containers and applying multiple layers before the magnets would hold up the photos. Ultimately the product works, but you may want to purchase a little more than what you think you need. July 4, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Barely holds I purchased this point knowing it's a Martha Stewart brand thinking that it would be high quality especially for the price. Barely holds April 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not performing as Described This primer has great body, goes on well, and once ready, just might hold a decorative magnet, but NOT a heavier magnet with paper in between. Directions are simplified and seem to be narrowly designed for craft use only, not for the small smooth wall application I had in mind. February 3, 2015
