I see it in Antique Mahogany and in Oak but is it available in pine or maple?

How far is the rod from the wall?

My main goal is make the room dark at night, so I don't want much space between the drapes and the wall. Thanks!
Asked by: psbklyn

how do these mount on the wall

The question was asked for instructions. Apparently the reader from HD had no clue how to mount.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Home Depot's penchant for requesting reviews is getting a little ridiculous I bought these brackets to mount seamless paper in my studio, they have a flat end to fit against the wall. I also bought a package of screws that day....but HD hasn't asked me to review them yet

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gets the Job Done with some Minor Tweaking The wood brackets are fine by themselves and hang the reeded wood pole for your curtains just like they're supposed to. But, I would recommend buying new hardware. The hardware that's included, namely the drywall anchors, are extremely cheap and would not go into the wall without bending. Luckily, I had a few spares from another project. There are also no instructions on what size bit to use to pre-drill your holes. But after figuring all of this out, they work and they look pretty nice on the wall.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Most Frustrating Purchase Ever I loved the way these brackets looked, but when I brought them home, it turns out they required unscrewing a back panel just to get started--and one of the screws was already stripped when it came out of the package. Tried to order a new one online, but it turns out it's out of stock online, so I either have to make another trip into the store or wait. To make matters worse, I had already mounted one of the brackets when I discovered the problem--so now I have one bracket hanging on my wall looking ridiculous while I wait for a replacement. That may be just as poor quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great This was just what we needed for a curtain rod. I think that the package should have included a plug for the hole on the bottom. Look at the picture and see the hole on the bottom where a screw can go to attach the bracket to the rod.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not something you should purchase if you are not sure. It was difficult to get this on the wall to put the curtain rod through. Do not purchase this item unless you are sure you want to put this up. I saved it for my mother or grandmothers house.
