Rated 5 out of 5 BEAUTIFUL!!
I used the bronze metallic paint for the base coat and then faux painted over the base coat with the copper and gold glaze. It is gorgeous! The bathroom is small but the dark ceiling isn't overwhelming at all. It is very interesting and just beautiful. I have to do this somewhere else in my house as well!

I was nervous going into this paint project after reading the reviews. After watching the Home Depot How-To video and following his recommendations, my first paint project went off without a hitch! I used a similar color as a base/primer coat, used the metallic paint, then applied a stencil pattern to give a metallic wallpaper look. Love the outcome!!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by rollergirl Product works great - roller is the problem
I have used both Ralph Lauren Regent Metallics and MSL Precious Metals with great results. It is meant to be a sheer finish. If you desire more intense coverage; paint a base color on the wall that is similar to the metallic color.
Now onto the real problem ~ the MSL rollers. The new rollers have fibers that are too long and they hold too much paint, this makes it very difficult for the roller to actually roll which would be why line patterns will occur.
Ask the store if they have any of the Ralph Lauren Regent Metallic rollers left; the fibers are a lot less fluffy and will not overload your roller - the results on the wall are like night and day.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by KF225 Worst Paint Ever!
Wish I could give it no stars. This is the worst paint (Mirrored Glass) I have ever worked with. I have done 5 coats on two flat doors and it is still streaky. I have tried every technique I could think of to get it to not streak, but no luck. I got the best roller and rolled it on thickly going only one direction and it still looks terrible. Every time you pick up your roller it leaves marks. If your roller skips a bit, it leaves marks. Anytime you touch it, it leaves marks. I'm going to have repaint the doors Again - this time with another paint. Very irritating because this paint is not cheap!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by lovekfam Gave the exact look we wanted
The precious metals line from Martha is just gorgeous. When the paint is used for the purpose of design/decorating as opposed to solely functionality, it is terrific. It is a sheer paint, so sheer paints should not be used specifically for coverage. We were repainting our living room and I wanted a warm pearl metallic tone for the upper portion of our two tone wall. We chose the "bone" color from the line, and got a color matched flat paint to go under as the base coat. It turned out AWESOME! The base coat made all the difference, and when you paint the sheer metallic over it there is no streaking at all, just a smooth pretty metallic sheen just like we wanted! So if you are going for a designed "look" as opposed to a paint specifically for coverage, I definitely recommend this line of paint. Just remember the color matched base coat! Simply beautiful. Thanks Martha!
