Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by camrosegal Must add this to glaze for even coverage!
Martha's marketing people read this!! - Totally agree with previous comments about uneven coverage. So true. But following a previous comment that if you add it to the GLAZE product then it really works well, FABULOUS even! Paint your walls the base color you want and then for a glittery top coat, add this glitter paint to the glaze product and you will have a glittery top coat on your base color. I did it for my daughters bathroom with pearlessence accent tiles and it is magic!!! None of the instructions state this obviously. THANK GOD I read that comment to mix it with the Glaze product. THANK YOU!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WinningJr Should be called "$60 per gallon glitter glaze"
If you have infinite funds and time, then you "can" get a nice surface from this product. It is more of a candy-apple translucent top coat than a paint.
You'll need SEVERAL coats to cover a primed surface. Each coat will need to be FULLY dry, or you'll just brush off the previous layer and see the primer again. At $8.99 per 10 oz. container, you are spending over $60 per gallon after tax. Expect a project, such as painting the head and foot boards of a twin bed, to take at least three containers and three days.
I did not try painting the surface "the same color" in other paint first, but I beleive there will be very little glitter using that method as the product goes on very thin. See the picture of the first coat on a newly primed surface.

Of coarse you need a finished painted surface. I used a painting mitten, brush on paint then rub in circle pattern to add sparkled shimmer.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by linzalexis Don't waste your time unless you've got actual paint to start with.
I purchased this in blue, green and purple to paint a primed dresser for my girls. Boy, do I wish I hadn't. I'm sure if, like others have said, you begin with a base coat of a similar color, you'll get the desired look. By the time I had tried two coats of each color on each drawer, it was too late for that. The brush strokes were almost impossible to get out, even when I used a sponge roller after each coat. Previous coat isn't COMPLETELY dry? Don't even bother attempting to apply another layer - you'll just pull up all the paint you've already put on.
All and all, this should be marketed as a "glitter top coat."

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by chris I strongly recommend NOT purchasing this product.
To anyone who happens to see this product, and is considering purchasing- I *seriously* recommend against doing so! This is the single worst paint I have ever purchased. I have a BA in visual art and have painted many walls of my home, and tons of my furniture, etc., so it's not like I am a novice.
This product does not paint on evenly whatsoever. Even after multiple coats, it leaves very noticable brush strokes, even when painting onto an already painted surface that is almost exactly the same color. I used an entire jar to paint my front door on multiple occasions (half of which is a large window), and I don't know whether to buy another jar to see if umpteen layers will do the trick- or forgo the glitter glam and just sand down, and repaint with Glidden semi-gloss, which never fails.
And just a note- when I first painted my front door, 5 years ago, I wanted the glitter effect and sprayed on glitter hairspray when the paint was wet. It was subtle- but looked nice and lasted some time. I'd recommend doing that if you want just a little glam on any painted surface. Cheers. :-)

The paint goes on easily, you can add as many layers as you'd like for the depth of color that you're trying to achieve and when the light hits the paint, it is a beautiful affect. Love the paint and wish it came in more colors.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Scorpio Love this pretty color! Bought exactly a year ago for spring break garden project and going to buy more now!
Yes it needs several coats for deeper color. I also have been using the silver, today I am buying more aquarium blue and the citrus green to go over a black trunk in my teenage daughter's room. My bestfriend has the purple and we both love it so do our 3 girls!
