Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product - easy to use and love the textured results I was curious just how easy this product would be to use and get the results I wanted. It is a 2 step process so you also need a jar of the undercoat called primer sealer. It is clear so I just brushed it on all over even though I was not going to use the crackle paint everywhere. Then I completed my painting - I used a small painting to test the product. The last step was to add the crackle paint - it goes on like a soft butter. I wanted more texture than just crackle so I put it on with a painting blade like a small spatula you would use for frosting. Some places were thicker than others which the instructions said would influence the size of the cracks - perfect for my purposes. Then I added another step to blend the elements of the painting together a bit more - I did a thin wash of a umber glaze. I think the painting is very striking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product!! This crackle paint is an easy to use product that has great results, I have used in on a couple of projects and was very pleased with the final result. I wish it was available in a larger jar for the price but price doesn't deter me from buying this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Effect Little Effort I applied a thin layer with a paint scraper and let it dry. That's it. I did nothing else and got the desired effect of aged cracked paint. I suppose a sealer of some type on the top would be a prudent measure if a lot if the piece you're doing gets a lot of use, but I left mine just as it dryer. Thinly applied or a thicker application is going to make a difference as to the crackle effect you get. Play with it a little.
