Answer:
Hello CJ, It is possible to use these latches with soft-close cabinets in many situations, but it depends upon whether the force applied to the door by the hinge spring is enough to close the latch and the door. Unfortunately this is very dependent on the hinge and the size of the door, so it can be difficult to determine prior to installation. If the soft-close on the cabinet is adjustable it may Read More

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 18 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by door latch Easy to install and match furniture in area. Looks great July 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Knob was smaller than expected If you are trying to match the latch to the Martha drawer knobs available in stores, beware that the latch knob is smaller than the drawer knobs/pulls and a slightly different patina. Make sure you measure your space and keep in mind the specs. The latch seems rather weak - might want something else if you need heavy duty use. Otherwise, it's perfectly fine aesthetically and worked ok in my new closet. I have posted pictures of the latch as well as knobs for comparison. November 15, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by For the price I'm happy with it. Very happy with it for the price. Looks good on a closet door. December 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Higher quality than what i've seen This catch is a die casting, not a stamped piece of sheet metal. Very solid with a matte finish. It includes the screws. It is a solid piece of hardware that I used on a Pub style dartboard cabinet that I made. I wish it was stocked in the store as I had to order it and have it shipped to my Home Depot. I ordered it online thinking from the online picture that it was a bright brass finish but it is a matte finish a sort of aged look. It required me to change the hinges to match it. That would not have happened if it was stocked in the store. All in all I was very pleased with the quality and would recommend it. January 7, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bought it, returned it This product looks shiny on the web page, but actually has a duller, darker non-shiny finish. It's not quite antique either. In other words, it is unlikely to match any other brass products you have, unless they are part of this exact product line. Also, it didn't seem as solid as another brass catch I currently own. Plenty of other options over the internet and in stores in a variety of finishes -- polished, satin, brass, nickel, whatever. No need to settle for this. September 1, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Broken It looks nice, but it arrived broken. The knob fails to move the latch. September 16, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Latches!! Easy and looks good , ship was quick and order was easy September 23, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not as pictured or as it looks in the store We ordered this based on the product we saw in our home depot. It was polished (almost as pictured). We received a product that is antiqued (tarnished) rather then polished. We went to the store and they confirmed that this was the only brass Martha Stewart Matchbox catch. Unless you are looking for an antiqued look do not purchase this. November 28, 2014
