I bought 4 of these rods to go into a closet set up of the same brand. I ended up not using them at all. Given that they only support 35 lbs max, it is very easy to exceed this weight in a 35" span of hanging clothes; for winter wear, especially. I decided it wasn't worth the risk. Plus, the metal sounds terrible with metal hangers. Instead, I installed a hardwood dowel with rod-cups into the pre-drilled holes in the Martha Stewart upright panels. Less expensive, and rated for a lot more weight for the same rod length.

These rods do the trick when it comes to holding up clothes for the closets.
If your closet design requires space that is less than 24 inches, you'll need to cut these rods down to size. We took them to our local home depot and they cut them to the appropriate lengths for free. The only problem that we have with these rods is that the bars are different sizes (since one has to fit inside the other so they can adjust) and the hangers will get caught on the rim of the larger bar. Not a big deal, but definitely worth noting.

Good quality. A little pricey, but worth it. Fits well. Seems strong enough.

Convenient interlocking mechanism; however, once the width is determined, no way to lock the dimesion with some sort of set screw or the like.

The hole match up for the panel supports is not accurate. Most of the screws had to be angled up to the hole in the board to go in or be redrilled so that the screw would go in.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SaraG Great closet system, NO instructions
We purchased this as part of a closet system to re-do our master walk-in closet. It's a great product and we love the results. BUT, I was totally unaware that all these parts came with 0 instructions. Literally, no instructions at all. So, just be warned you'll have to figure it all out for yourself, but in the end it was definitely worth it, it's a sturdy, good looking product.

I installed the rod above my kitchen sink and now use it to dry my dish cloth, which previously I was hanging over my tall faucet. I also hang hand wash items over it to drip into the sink. I am very pleased with how this installed and how useful it is. It is dark grey, however, not a chrome type silver.

Loaded this thing down with my wifes clothes. Didn't even budge. Easy to put in and will hold up to whatever you hang from it. The closet looks great and holds alot more clothes than it did before.
