Needed two rods to span over 12 feet. Rods were connected using a doubled ended screw. Husband put them up. Used a center bracket for added support. Serves purpose perfectly. Wish color was slightly darker.

You get what you see with this one! Quality wood and absolutely beautiful! If you are going to use the full length, make sure you get three supports so it doesn't drop in the middle due to the weight.

We needed a 14' pole so put the 6' and 8' together with a dowel screw. Looks good although they do not exactly line up where connected it is minor. My only complaint is that the stock they had in the store the poles were bent so we had to order online. Came pretty quick and we got it to work in the space we needed it for. Nice color and matching hardware worked great.

Curtain rod is perfect. It's lightweight yet very sturdy. And I appreciate the ability to choose from a variety of end-piece styles.

We chose these as our curtain rods for a Florida room, where the back wall is long with multiple windows. I wanted a single curtain rod instead of multiple rods, and the prefab options were either too expensive or too short. We also used the corner connector for another shorter wall of two windows. We used a pocket screw to join two of the rods together for the long wall, which actually worked quite well. You can't see the seam since our grommet panel curtains cover it. We used extra wall brackets to make sure the long pole had enough support. This worked fine and was so much cheaper than buying a pre-fab metal rod. The shorter wall required us to cut the rod to the appropriate length which was also incredibly easy.
On the shorter wall, one of the poles actually looks a little bowed - I would check your poles on the ground (roll them and see if they're straight). The long wall is also a little bowed, but I expected that, since we joined two rods together.
We also used the matching wood brackets and corner connector - see the other reviews. Buy new hardware to hang the brackets! We dropped the corner connector and a big chuck on the wood broke off. We still used it (I guess I'm pretty cheap too) since the new hole faced the wall. It's very cheap - so handle with care.
These are great for a "custom" fit. If you study them closely, you might notice the minor flaws, but who studies curtain rods? I'm happy with them.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Annie Rings Don't Run Smoothly
We installed this rod a year ago with the Martha Stewart rings, and they don't run smoothly across the reeded surface. You have to pull super hard to get them to move. The ridges of the reeded surface quickly wear down to bare wood and the rings don't glide any more.

MY WIFE AND I WERE SEARCHING FOR A HEAVY DUTY CURTAIN ROD FOR A PROJECT, AND AFTER MULTIPLE VISITS TO CURTAIN AND BLIND STORES, WERE DISAPPOINTED IN OUR INABILITY TO FIND ANYTHING UNDER $100. THIS PRODUCT CAME WITH THE OPTION TO PURCHASE MULTIPLE DIFFERENT ACCESSORIES.
