Customer Reviews

Rated 1.3 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't waste your money As the saying goes, you get what you pay for and this inexpensive umbrella is poorly made. As other reviewers stated, the tilting mechanism is flawed and mine failed shortly after purchase. The material used for the umbrella, that you can virtually see through, is the cheapest fabric I've ever seem used for an umbrella (this is not evident from the on-line photos). Buy something else and see it in person unless you have previous experience with the manufacturer. July 7, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Captiva II umbrella The overall quality of the umbrella is similar to low-cost equipment found in discount stores. I was unpleasantly surprised with the construction techniques (cheap rivets and the mechanism to raise/lower the umbrella) along with the materials used - overall I could not recommend this purchase. On a related note, the Captiva II table/chair set, for which this umbrella was purchased, is reasonably well made and seems much more durable. May 15, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The Umbrella is a Huge Disappointment! We purchased this Umbrella last summer, because it matched our cushions to a set we purchased from Home Depot. The first umbrella lasted about 2 months and the tilt button popped out. The company replaced the frame. Half way thru this summer the umbrella turn's on it's own, and has now began to tilt. The center of the pole is cracked. I'm waiting for it to fall over. Very Disappointed! August 9, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The One Season Umbrella Disposable. Broke in two places the first year. Pretty, but useless when the pieces that hold the umbrella straight broke and popped out, fell on the ground. i called hamptom bay and got nowhere fast. threw it in the trash. February 16, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by too lightweight Once unpacked the product is too lightweight. I don't think it will hold up longer then a month or two and have already encountered problems in less then 7 days August 29, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by broke after 1 year Like previous reviewer said, it is poorly constructed and ours also broke after one year. I would expect more from a Martha Stewart branded product. June 23, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Quality very poor It was in use less than 2 weeks when it broke in 2 pieces as a result of an average wind gust. September 4, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NOT GOOD ! The button that makes the umbrella tilt WILL break ! Ive replaced mine once and the second one broke the same way. There is a defect here that is not being corrected !Buy something else for $200.00 ! July 6, 2012
