Customer Reviews

Captiva II 12 ft. Patio Umbrella in Brown-DISCONTINUED is rated 1.4 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money As the saying goes, you get what you pay for and this inexpensive umbrella is poorly made. As other reviewers stated, the tilting mechanism is flawed and mine failed shortly after purchase. The material used for the umbrella, that you can virtually see through, is the cheapest fabric I've ever seem used for an umbrella (this is not evident from the on-line photos). Buy something else and see it in person unless you have previous experience with the manufacturer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The One Season Umbrella Disposable. Broke in two places the first year. Pretty, but useless when the pieces that hold the umbrella straight broke and popped out, fell on the ground. i called hamptom bay and got nowhere fast. threw it in the trash.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Captiva II umbrella The overall quality of the umbrella is similar to low-cost equipment found in discount stores. I was unpleasantly surprised with the construction techniques (cheap rivets and the mechanism to raise/lower the umbrella) along with the materials used - overall I could not recommend this purchase. On a related note, the Captiva II table/chair set, for which this umbrella was purchased, is reasonably well made and seems much more durable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from broke after 1 year Like previous reviewer said, it is poorly constructed and ours also broke after one year. I would expect more from a Martha Stewart branded product.
