I'm confused…some customers say the rocker was easy to assemble. Others
complained that they needed to drill holes, stripped the screws, hired a
handyman, etc.

What do you think? These comments matter to me.

Thank you….Carole

Answer:
I put four little starter holes in chair , took less than 5 minutes. Anyone can do it. Just line up the runners on the chair.. there is picture and where the runners go, They fit just one way, very easy... lines up I drilled little holes. Then popped the 4 screws in and and time to enjoy. You will be amazed how easy it is. No handyman required just a small drill and bit.

Very easy to assemble, place rails on legs large side towards rear of chair. Screw in 4 screws and your done. I suggest using deck screws instead of the cheap screws that come with chair

Answer:
The runners have predrilled holes in them. You have to place the runner on the legs of the chair and then drill pilot holes thru the pre-drilled holes in the runner into the leg of the chair then insert the screws. The key is properly positioning the chair when you do the above so that it is stable and will not move when you are drilling.

I just got my chair. I have absolutely NO "construction skills"....yet my granddaughter and I put the rocker rungs on and used a drill to put the screws in. It took us about 20 minutes! (Most of that was spent discussing which of us would operate the drill.) I think it would be harder to hand screw the legs on... Overall, I'm feeling very proud of myself!!!

Hi Carole,
Customer reviews are often influenced by the customers own skills. Many experienced DIYers find the task easy. Those with less assembly experience or with fewer tools on hand may have more trouble.

Did anyone have trouble attaching the runners to the chair?

This question is from Charlottetown Natural All-Weather Wicker Patio Rocking Chair with Quarry Red Cushion

Should be simple assembly. Instructions say you only need a screwdriver. NOT CORRECT. The screws were very difficult to get through the wooden leg. I don't have a drill. After eventually getting the runners attached, the chair is uneven and does not rock correctly. I was so excited to get these, but I am now beyond disappointed. Any suggestions Home Depot?

I had the same issue, cheap screws that the head strips and they will bend. Removed the screws and replaced with good quality deck screws that the head fits in the hole drilled on the bottom of rails.
Once replaced the chair rocks great and is very solid.

250 to 300 lbs people have used this chair with no problem. It is more important to have chair on solid surface so weight is even on runners

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 96 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Rocker!!! Easy to assemble, (less than 5 minutes) and its very comfortable and reasonably priced, and had fast shipping. However I put a different cushion on it. I bought an andirondack chair cushion that is a perfect fit , so back is comfortable too. My only regret was that I did not buy two of these chairs. And now this color is not available. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it!!! I love this comfortable rocking chair, beautiful, easy to Assemble, durable. I would like to recommend it. September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I love these chairs! We did have a little trouble putting in one of the screws, but they were easy to put together and look great on our porch. I am glad I have two! August 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Runners warp when they get wet Bought two of these rockers last summer and they are very comfortable. The only problem I have is the runners are warped from rain getting inside of them. It would be better is they were solid instead of hollow. July 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking weather proof rocking chair Assembly not as easy as pictured in directions. We needed to drill Pilot holes in the rockers to assemble the chair. But it is a nice looking chair and comfortable. Rockers are made of metal with a thin plastic strip covering the bottom. I hope this part holds up in the weather. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Anita Love this chair, beautiful and comfortable. Easy to put together. August 9, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Acceptable Not happy that the holes for the rocker were not drilled. One chair is still not right because we had to do this ourselves. Other than that, the chairs look nice and the one rocks nicely. July 26, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks good Comfort leaves something to be desired and rock radius is too restricted. Material construction is good. August 9, 2016
