You should be able to contact Home Depot (or the supplier you bought it from). They will most likely send you a replacement at no charge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!!!!!! This is a SOLID piece of furniture! and so HEAVY! I love the flat file drawers and have filled them all already. It's a very Functional piece of furniture and PERFECT for my paper crafting obsession! I have more of these Martha Stewart cabinets on the way! Just pay attention to the instructions and you'll be fine assembling the cabinet, but it does take a while. I did almost all of it alone, just needed someone to hold a piece here and there. I highly reccommend!

Incredible amount of space and the price is great. Quality is good as well. Even comes with dividers for the four large drawers. It took me a few hours to put together by myself but is relatively easy to do so. The only tricky part was attaching the top piece to the sides/back. I would highly recommend it (especially for the price).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Craft cabinet I really like this cabinet. The quality is excellent. The biggest issue, which others have mentioned, is how difficult the assembly is. It really does take two people but the instructions are complete and, if taken step-by-step, are easy to follow.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Drawers Don't Fit Properly Last year my husband bought me the hutch to 8 drawer cabinet for Christmas; with an IOU (out of stock) for the cabinet. After 9 months of waiting, I finally got the cabinet, to only be sadly disappointed. We spent 7 hours putting the cabinet together (husband is in construction), making sure we matched up every pre-drilled hole, only to discover after we had the cabinet built that only the two bottom drawers worked. None of the other drawers lined up and would close all the way. In addition, we had several pieces that had chipped paint, which we had decided we were willing to live with because it was such a monster to put together. I called Home Depot to see if they would send someone out to adjust all the drawers. My husband thought that the company should go through the tedious task of adjusting each drawer; however, all they could offer us was to send out a pro out our expense. They called the manufacturer Home Decorators and they would do nothing. My options are to spend additional time taking apart and return to the store or they can try ordering replacement parts. Very disappointed in the quality of this mass produced item, I had such high hopes. I am also disappointed that the manufacturer does not stand by their product. If you choose to buy this product, recommend that you inspect every single piece for chip paint before putting together. Unfortunately, you will not know if the drawers won't line up until you get it together. Good Luck!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am SO in love with this cabinet!!! I desperately needed storage for my quilt and embroidery supplies in my craft room. Luckily for me, I stumbled across the Martha Stewart Living line at Home Depot. I ordered this cabinet, another one with two drawers and two doors, and two 4-drawer short cabinets for storage under my sewing table. These cabinets met all my needs, and exceeded my expectations! The flat file is perfect for storing my large cutting mats and pressing mats. The movable dividers allows me to have separate drawers for different items, so I can get to them in seconds rather than having to look in totes and move supplies around like I did before. When the table arrived, the top had a rough spot about the size of a dime on the top, and the top was slightly warped so all the cams couldn't secure the top. I contacted customer support and they shipped a new top, free of charge, no questions asked. The new top fit like a glove. I would not hesitate recommending this cabinet to anyone. It is the perfect size for a working island, and I know I will get years of satisfaction from it! One thing though (there's always 'one thing', isn't there?)... this sucker is HEAVY! It ships in 3 boxes and when put together it weighs about 215 pounds. Be sure you have a muscular friend to help, and if you can, either assemble it in the room it will live in, or measure your doors to make sure it will fit thru. Luckily I had a sliding door we could bring it in to finish assembling in my craft room.

Your description states some assembly required it should have said full assembly required. I think the drawer bottom should be a bit stronger as I put two stacks of scrapbooking paper in the drawer and the drawer fell thru. It should not have done that with paper.

Product was received with a broken part that does not allow it to be assembled. Instruction manual indicates that " for any missing or damaged parts , contact our Customer Service Department for efficient and speedy service". I did so, providing model number, part number , and pictures of damaged part. All information was sent to Home Decorators Collection ( a Home Depot owned company ) from whom I was declined service . It is unsatisfactory to not stand behind a product that you or a company that is owned by you produces and sells. I'm sorry to say that I cannot recommend this product based on the quality of the materials or customer service provided to make things right.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from  ONE PERSON ASSEMBLY (ADDITIONAL ENHANCEMENTS)  Many express “well made” on this piece but I feel it’s the weight that makes them express that. This is 75% MDF. The ‘real’ wood used inside the draws is about as soft as the Bass you find in a craft store. The brown finish is painted on. I realized this when some of it came damaged. The painted finish was flaking off… and underneath just MDF (see images). That is why I chose to put a clear protective finish on all outside facing parts. I ordered this piece at HomeDepot online. Shipped free to my local store. DEBOXING - APPROX 2 hrs: — 0.25 hrs - Read Manual cvr to cvr — 1.5 hrs - Debox and Clean pieces. (open boxes down the center seam) — 0.5 hrs - Count inventory — 3 Boxes: LRG 70lbs 8”x 33”x 48” ; MED 95lbs 10”x 32”x 43.5” ; SM 58lbs 14”x 22”x 32.5” — I did this in one trip with my little Mazda 3. SM box in front passenger seat. MED in the back seats. LRG in the trunk. Bungeed the trunk lid down. Red tag it. Only had a 2 mile drive. Unloaded myself at home. I’m a pint sized scrapper. 5’ 2” tall on a good day. —There will be a lot of packing debris stuck to the grease on the tracks, you have to remove debris while leaving the grease to ensure proper draw function and installation. Pain in the kahzoo! ——— ASSEMBLY - APPROX 7.5 hrs: 2.25 hrs - Body & Top (No power tools really needed) — I tried for casters but the the built in thread-pockets for the rubber feet are very well ‘adhered’ into the legs. 5.25 hrs - Draws — Assembled, glued seems inside and out [does not include drying time], and installed. You’ll want a power phillips. — Wood glue seeped into the wood and seams. I found that I had to make two passes. I feel this optional step Iis very important on the large draws. It all looked a ridiculous mess with bungee cords making sure all was tightly fighting together while it dried. Well worth it to me, because I sure as heck don’t want to have to fix things later. (I briefly tried to see if the draws would come out after installation and could not do it. They seem to be in for good, thus I did all I needed to do with them before inserting into track.) — Top 4 shallow draws are 2.25” deep. (Two 18” x 24” pads of paper fit perfectly side by side in them) — 5th row draws are 3.75” deep — Last row of draws are 5” deep — Bottom 4 draws will fit paper 17 x 24” — Optional dividers for top 4 draws included — ALL draws extend out fully, so you can see everything in the draw. ———  ADDITIONAL ENHANCEMENTS  ADDED CLEAR PROTECTION - APPROX 4 hrs: —Drying times not included. I just worked on another portion during drying. —I tested Matte, and Satin (my favorite). But my testing lead me to choose Gloss. I used “Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch X2”. About five 12oz cans. CUSTOM KNOBS -APPROX 1.25 hrs: — Twelve knobs. Six of them I had to cut to proper length. — The knobs that come with it are excessively small and cheap. — I chose two different designs. Paid $27 for them total, 50% off at Hobby Lobby. — I found that in order for the bolts of the knobs to be flush inside the draw, they had to be approx. 1.5” long. So don’t buy them shorter than that. ——— • I don’t have this piece against a wall. It sits free in the center of my studio • You have to accept, this is not fine furniture. In fact it’s such a bear to get into your home and debox, that when you find damage/imperfections you try to live with it because you don’t want to package it up and go back! • There are two things to consider in those really great reviews of this piece; 1. After all the hubbub most of us are just tickled that we FINALLY have a place for our stuff. This happiness spills over into the so called quality remarks. 2. Even if we think we paid too much for it we are not likely to say “I just spent 6-12 hours building a piece of junk!” because after all it reflects badly on our own judgement to do such a dumb thing. • If you settle on this piece and have no help give yourself a few days to do it, so that if you get it done quickly you’ll feel awesome. If you don’t, you won’t be disappointed. I work for a living so it spanned 3 days. • I really think that without the added expense and time to glue the draw seams, and add a protective coat I would be a very unhappy camper later down the road. • Love my knobs! (Sorry had to say it.) I’ve been dreaming of flat files for decades. I’m just happy to finally have one…. after 15 hours of work. So glad all my piles of papers are tucked away. I’m satisfied with the way it looks. I hope it holds up for decades to come. Best of luck to you. Yes, one person can do it.
