They do rock with assistance, when pushing your feet on the ground. Once you stop, the rocking stops.

I don't have a lot of space to store them inside the garage. With winter weather approaching, what's the best way to take care of the furniture from rains and snow? I see that the material is made of rust-free, but it's steel and so I am assuming it can get rusty when left outside all season.

Thank you for your interest in the Grand Bank 5-Piece Patio Dining Set. The set can be left outside all winter but we do recommend if able to place a cover over the set. Also you will want to make sue that there is no water built up in the frame as this may cause freeze damage in cold climates. For further question on protecting your set during winter you may contact customer service at (866)851-3006.

We just brought ours in for the season today. This is our first winter with it and it hasn't been exposed to the snow. My guess is that it would rust in the harsh elements. It was in the rain from April to October and it withstood nicely.

We cover ours and leave it outside all winter. There isn't a specific cover for this table, so just measure and get one as close as possible. The cover won't go all the way to the ground usually either. We've had a little rust form on the chair bases in spots, but not too much.

I'm concerned that without cover, the metal will rust or the fabric will wear out. Does anyone have this set and have left it out? I'd be curious to hear if it held up.

It's not connected to the table, but it rests in there secure and is pretty heavy. We've had the table out for two seasons now and no problems, even during really windy storms.
Just a side note: the glass is more frosted, not clear.
Hope this helps :)

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Shattered Glass i bought this good looking patio set in 2013. almost 6 months later the table glass shattered spontaneously. Home depot replaced it and almost a week ago , same thing happened. I am sure there is definite flaw in glass there. I am not sure if home depot will be able to help this time or not but I am pretty sure even if they replace it; its going to do the same until and unless manufacturere has done something about it already as I see there were many complaints on consumer affair about the same issue. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Love the chairs and just the right size table! We choose this set because we loved the chairs and were also looking for a small table to fit on our patio. We also liked the shape of the table. We saw this table in the store but ended up purchasing online because they offered free shipping. We received the table very quickly. It was quick and easy to assemble. There was a small scratch on the table and a few scratches on the chairs. Home Depot is sending out a new table and paint for the chairs. Hopefully we receive it soon! We also wanted to purchase the matching umbrella but couldn't find a store near us that had it available, so we ended up getting one from a different store. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great set Looks fantastic just as advertised. Some assembly required as table and chair come disassembled in separate boxes. Assembly is easy but strongly advise you use socket wrench as some of spaces for the bolts are tight. Took almost as much time to remove all the packing material as it did to put together. Earlier comments have complained of misaligned holes in chair assembly and I did have to adjust two of the pre-bolted pieces before fitting and re-tightening but it's not a big deal. Finish on all pieces is excellent no scratches dings or mars and the powder coat paint looks like it will last. Looking forward to many years with this set. June 10, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Grand Bank 5-Piece Patio Dining Set This is an excellent value and very attractive, functional dining set. There was a minimum amount of assembly and the directions and accompanying parts were all complete. I love the chairs because they swivel, have high backs, and rock a bit. The table is a great size for dining with plenty of room for additional serving pieces. The glass top makes clean-up simple and the brown color of the entire set, means it always looks great.. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks nice and easy to set up Purchased this online after sitting at a set in display at my local store and liking it. Chairs took the longest and are probably the most complicated items to put together, but once the first chair was done, the other three where easy as I knew what I was doing without having to keep looking at the instructions like I did with the first one. Chairs are comfortable and feel sturdy (I'm 6'3" and 280lbs), and the material allows rain water to pass through without pooling in the seats so they dry quickly. Table is also well built and the glass cleans easily with a damp cloth. There was one very little gouge in the edge of the table, but wasn't a deal breaker for me. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars. July 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent set I purchased this set about a month ago. It was in store so I was able to pick it up the same day. My cousin put the chairs together faster than I could get the bubble wrap off the next chair. You will want to use your own ratchet rather than the tool given in the set. All in all, I'd say it took about 45 minutes to maybe an hour to put together the 4 chairs and the table. I have the set on my back porch, so it isn't really all that exposed to the elements other than the standard temperature changes. It's comfortable, really cute and just perfect for my needs. Some have written about a bar at the knee/thigh area. This can be rolled very easily to accommodate whatever your preference is. January 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice set for a new home After reading other reviews I was a bit skeptical to purchase this set because of the negative remarks about it being a complete pain to put together. I do agree that there was a great deal of packaging inside each box but I would rather that be present than a box of broken pieces. My fiance had no trouble at all assembling they chairs and table in a timely manner. We have really enjoyed the new table and chair set and look forward using it for when we grill in the future too. This is a perfect size set for a small deck or a couple just starting out, like us. July 10, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and enjoyable. We worried about the glass top surviving the North Carolina sun with a southern exposure. We have had no problem with the August heat. The sling type chairs are very comfortable and the swivel feature is very nice. Could not give five stars due to the fact the screws did not line-up correctly and husband had to do some finagling. All-in-all we are pleased with the set. August 29, 2014
