It is a 2 person glider, two can sit in it comfortably. I measured the seat only and it's 38 from inside the arms of the glider to the other, I hope this helps.

Depends on your skill level. It was very easy for me, with decades of putting things together. It goes together logically enough, though, and there are only about a dozen connections to make if I remember correctly. It comes with spares of every bolt, nut, and washer (Yay!) and little stamped wrenches that would work but be kind of a pain. I used my own socket set; much better.

It helps to be able to eyeball parts to discern left from right and allow clearance for the rocker assembly. I put the latter on wrong at first, but it was no problem ti change it. It also helps to have a helper to hold parts upright while assembling, although that is not strictly necessary - I didn't.
It is very well wrapped, so allow plenty of time for unwrapping, and if you recycle- especially if you reuse - sorting tape from bubble wrap, etc. Read Less

Grand Bank Patio Double Glider is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 82.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good For The Money The only problem I had with assembly (and yes it does take 2 people) was the the bar on the front of the seat needed to be pulled forward in order for the arm to fit properly. This was not self -evident at first and not addressed in the instructions. The glider works better with two people sitting on it. It will glide with only one person but not very well. I think this the seat is because it is divided into two distinct parts with a bar down the middle separating it into two distinct parts. The glider would likely work better if it were constructed like a bench. Everything said it is very comfortable and I would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Glider is the best place to end the day! Extremely Comfortable This is the second time we purchase this exact same Glider as we lost the first one in a fire, I would recommend this product 100%! It is so comfortable and glides very smoothly. We love to sit in the sun and relax at the end of the day. Easy assembly as well. Love our Martha Stewart Glider!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Piece missing from directions...read this before returning Martha, who wrote the technical specs? You do such a great job packaging the parts but fall short with directions! The step that appears to be missing (and causing returns) is the part telling someone that they need to loosen the arm under the seat component in order to fit that part into the hole. Otherwise one thinks the holes are screwed up. Yes, DO NOT screw all bolts tightly on bottom before putting back on (like me) but then parts are hard to go back and tighten. Do I love it...well I don't have the glider piece attach yet but even though it was frustrating at times I DO...so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bargain and classy look!! According to my husband this product was easy to assemble. I had been waiting for the right moment to purchase this glidder. Finally got the opportunity when it went on sale. This was a worth the wait, not only is it fun but looks great outside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Glider My husband put it together without any cursing, so it must not have been too challenging. I helped hold it in place for the final assembly and you pretty much need a 2nd person. I am totally impressed with how heavy-duty it feels--glad I spent a little more for the Martha Stewart one. It can hold 500 lbs whereas the cheap ones were only 250 if they even mentioned it. Going to love gliding with the grandkids on our front porch watching nature. Also bought the matching table for resting our drinks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well constructed I was looking for a small glider for a recently finished breezeway. This one looked just about right size wise and I was pleased at the quality and value. It was fairly easy to assemble and was pleased with color.
